It’s because this boss sets expectations. You think the game steps up so you be more prepared for the next bosses, only to find out that Okumura is the only outlier and now you’re already over-leveled for the rest of the game.
I think if you have at least played one JRPG you can play persona 5 royal in hard mod without problem, okumura basically is just a tutorial fight for the (I don't know what it's called in English, anyway When you change turn with a teammate)
I'm about 15 hours into the game, I've never played a persona game ever and I'm doing it on the hardest difficulty, it's really fun and engaging and I'm not having that much trouble so far but I expect that to change, I've only just got access to mementos after all.
TIP: put the game on merciless mode if you're having trouble with Okumura, yes the enemies will hit harder but so will you and the weakness damage alone will carry you through the fight. Saved my ass the second time through trying to speedrun
Always love any boss that gives Shiki Ouji a free win.
Give Shiki Ouji a status ailment that affects that bot and you win.
Bro built like Potemkin
Only a matter of time before okumura does a heavenly buster on us
this sure was a boss fight. Perhaps even one of the boss fights of all time.
Definitely a boss fight
What's funny is that I had a harder time with this boss than the Final Boss

General Manager (Coporobo GM): There is no way you can hit our psy weakness and baton pass to your allies to beat us. Absolutely no way.
If you make sure you have good variety in your personas and aren't underleveled its not really that hard imo
Idk about you but in my experience og p5 gives you really little exp.

I want to get off Mr. Burger Space Ride
Heavenly potemkin buster???
I've played nocturne at the BS die-in-tutorial difficulty, this is pretty tame.
This boss was like the only time I put Mona back into my team after ditching him for Yusuke
I have nightmares more with Sae than this thing

Because of damage multipliers for super effective hits being x3 instead of x2 in Maniac difficulty, many people think Hard is actually more difficult
pro tip: Haru is best girl
this b*tch. hahah The hardest boss in the game tbh.
I actually haven't beaten the game because of this mf because I refuse to do the merciless method
The robot doesn't understand, I am the one who knocks
I always find it weird when people say they had trouble with okumura. Even vanilla okumura was just kinda annoying rather than hard.
having PTSD
“FOR OUR COMPANY”
Some sort of imperial German shadow?
