1990 mustang 5.0 trick flow heads, b303 cam, pistons rods, valves etc. oil pressure is around 30 at idle and 40-50 on the throttle is that good/normal? Running 20w50 full synthetic.
That’s plenty of pressure. You only need around 10 at idle and 25-30 at 3000rpm per Ford in most cases. I had a similar engine back in the day E cam and 317 short block, and had similar pressures even in the heat of summer. You could probably free up a little HP stepping back to a normal weight oil like 10w30 and still hold good pressure.

Okay thank you, the last owner told me to run 20w50 with Lucas oil stabilizer in it so that what’s I threw in.
