I made a beat on pro tools and have bounced all the stems and placed them in Logic Pro which sounds completely fine however the waveforms look distorted when I zoom in. Will this affect the mix at all?

  1. Should be fine. By the image it doesn’t necessarily look like it’s clipping since only some of the transients look clipped off. Would have to zoom in further to know for sure. But If you can’t hear distortion and the meters don’t show it you‘ll be good.

  2. It doesn’t matter what the waveforms look like. What matters is how they SOUND. If they sound okay, then you’re good to bounce them all. A waveforms size and appearance rarely ever corresponds with how it sounds-if you increase its volume or use a compressor for instance-nothing happens; it will still look the same as before.
