Mindy Kaling: The Office Is Inappropriate, Characters Canceled Now

  1. I mean she's right. Steve Carell has said this, too. That doesn't mean they couldn't do a reunion. People change. The characters would be older and more mature. A reunion would reflect that. Especially with people leaving the office environment and going out into the world like Kevin, Pam, Jim, Michael, etc. they would be exposed to lots of new people and ideas and many of those people would teach them that their Scranton Dunder Mifflin bullshit doesn't fly in other places. Parks and Rec was basically The Office but without the racism, sexism, homophobia, and ableism. If Parks and Rec writers could figure it out, can't The Office writers? I see people getting canceled in cancel culture for things they said decades ago and it is weird that we don't acknowledge that many (but not all) people can grow, learn, change, and mature. That could absolutely be the case for all of the Office characters. I'd be down for an outright unfunny, sentimental or sad reunion because that really is the state of the world. I would like to see Kevin's bar be so profitable that he can hire two bodybuilders to carry his chili.

  2. Mindy Kaling shouldn’t be calling it inappropriate, rather that society doesn’t understand comedy anymore

  3. Idk. I find with Friends I still think it’s charming but some of it is also really cringey. Everything inappropriate about office was pretty well handled.

  4. All I can see from this conversation is your obvious reaction, which is quite boring and thought over. Try having your own thoughts before insulting the nations that saved you from humiliation
