[Commanders] Congrats to Joey Slye for being named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Month πππ #ProBowlVote Joey Slye #ProBowlVote @Tress_Way
And I think nailing a 55 and 58 in one game to beat the last undefeated team in the league is what really sealed the deal. That was one Justin Tucker would be proud of.
I think most of those threads came when we had Blewitt as a kicker which was indeed a huge downgrade from Hopkins despite Hopkins not being that great for us.
Do Way and Cheeseman like Slye? In Tress' micd up they barely talked to him. I don't see them dap him up much after fgs either. I'm happy to see him doing so well honestly. He's been dicey for us for the most part until recently.
Watched Slye kick since his Tech days. The leg strength is top notch but the accuracy always has me feeling like it was 50/50 (shout out RodGardner) every FG kick. Dude has been balling this season though. I agree with another comment that said we need to give him some leash if he starts missing. His leg strength is worth giving him some leeway if he gets off track. At the end of the day he needs to make them when it matters. Itβs literally his only job.

7 for 8 XPs, 10 for 10 FGs

His game vs the Eagles was the most spectacular kicking performance I've ever seen for this team.
JOEY Automatic!
Hopefully we wonβt see anymore threads crying about letting Hopkins go. π€

Who was crying over that? I forgot Hopkins existed.
Who?
Top 10% in touchback percentage, and good enough accuracy with the ability to hit long kicks.
He really is built different. Has to be the most ripped kicker in history. I'm just waiting for him to lay someone out on a kickoff.
He deserves it for the Eagles game
Not one kicker in the league is perfect, slye has been close to it
Is this the prize we get for 2 weeks of Chris Blewitt last year?
Slye and Way have been invaluable to their 6-1 run
Go Hokies, also Kendall Fuller making two game sealing picks. Just need LT to make a comeback.

But that XP thoughβ¦
Tress Bae and Slye the Thigh, ST is STACKED
