2000 dodge Dakota. Truck wouldn’t start could figure out why. It blew the starter fuse and it randomly keeps blowing the fuse. What could be causing this? Bad ground?

  1. A bad ground won't cause it. A bad ground won't let current flow or will limit the amount of current that can flow. It takes more current than a fuse is rated for to blow the fuse. The starter is the load device in the circuit and the most probable cause. Or a power wire touching a ground like a frame rail or other metal before it gets to the starter.
