Question about bowstring seating

I have a Martin takedown that when you first string it looks like that, give it a few pulls(but don’t let go of string) and see if it self centers.

Should be lining up dead center. How have you been stringing your bow?

With a strap if you mean that. I did not bent it with my legs.
