  1. Completely hear you. It's easy to get sucked in!

  2. EMS Synthi according to this little documentary piece:

  3. https://www.astronomy.com/observing/astronomys-atlas-maps-totality/

  4. Here's a picture of the memorial from Porchfest last year:

  5. I love it! Wish I had two. What do you want to know about it?

  6. Looking at the demo videos and seeing audio clips with markers. Lots of good inspiration here! Do you apply markers to wave files

  7. I've had this video on loop for a long time in the background this morning and just got lost in it. Great stuff!

  8. Because we were home all the time, I spent a lot more time in the woods and state parks. I contracted Lyme disease a few weeks after the pandemic was declared, and got a bill for covid care about 6 months later! (I did not have covid)

  9. Call their bluff. Austin TX did it years ago and both services left..... And a local version was almost immediately launched that had better prices on both ends of the transaction and more money stayed inside the community.

  10. I'm ready to give my money to a local cab operation. Uber and Lyft can take their business elsewhere.

  11. I've been wanting to setup an mobile performance session in my neighborhood like this. What are you using for power and speakers?

  12. I would say either a knob per function monosynth; korg monologue, bass Station 2, etc or a drum machine; RD-8 or 9, drum brute etc. Hands on synthesis is great fun and drum programming in an X0X style gives a different perspective too.

  13. Agreed with this one. Any used Microbrute will fit this bill. Used ones are super affordable and really fun (

  14. Man I have a standing desk in my studio and I love it. How are you supposed to dance to your tracks if you are sitting in a chair?

  15. I've mostly reverted away from social media back to good old RSS. It's been serious quality of life improvement.

  16. You can use outdoor space as a fridge/freezer in the colder months

  17. Except this season. It was in the upper 50s yesterday.

  18. I'd say Tiny Diner but I wouldn't even want people I dislike to go there

  19. Tiny Diner is closed during the winter and reopening this spring.

  20. Last time I was at Bull's Horn, the burger menu said something along the lines of "No substitutions, it's perfect". Let me say with all certainty that they delivered on that promise!

  21. Make backing tracks out of your songs (instrumentals minus vocals), sing over them.

  22. I am not a singer, but had a chance to do a live show for the first time this year. I played a few modular synthesizers improvised on top of a 4-track cassette. Having a backing track was a good way to get started, and come into something new with a plan. I feel like if you have vocal chops you're already well on your way!

  23. I buy my produce, THC drinks, and coffee at the co-ops, but packaged stuff at Trader Joes.

  24. I was already kind of on edge after watching True Detective season 4 last night, so I thought I'd pop my earbuds in and wind down with some music.

  25. This mini studio is still several times larger than my regular studio

  26. I like to explain it as Electron but without a separate copy of the browser. Chromium's web API project is an attempt to make it a more viable for complex desktop apps

  27. Are there really that many people against paid family leave, or just this crazy Tiktok person wasting everyone's mental space?
