I don't like it, but the sad truth is that's the situation there is a good chance they'll be putting someone else in when they hit them while uninsured, even if that driver has UMA while everything is getting sorted out.
I'm not saying they should do it. I'm just saying that it's inevitable given the economic conditions of Oklahoma that it's going to happen frequently. Folks are going to do what they feel they have to do. It's unreasonable to expect otherwise.
Once you're hit by someone without insurance or you know someone personally (not just in business) that is hit while having liability only insurance, it changes your perspective to be on the other end because that person now has to figure out how they're going to survive without their vehicle, even though they were the responsible one doing what they were supposed to do when they registered and insured their car, making sure to also mitigate anything that happened as a result of their irresponsiblity while driving the car.
