  1. Those ribs look so dry, which is odd considering how greasy the Texas toast looks.

  2. Eh. If you zoom in, it looks like it might have been on like a grill for a few seconds haha.

  3. There apparently is a sliver of truth to the tunnel system that extends from downtown to the airport. I worked at an aircraft repair shop for years, and several people confirmed it. I’ve never seen it, and it’s somehow connected to military stuff, so it’s hard to definitely confirm, but the people I spoke with know that area well and all swear it’s real.

  4. That would somewhat make sense if it also included Tinker AFB, since Tinker AFB is a crucial military base.

  5. What this doesn’t say is that in 2008, Aubrey lost everything in the financial crisis by buying on margin (“hey buy this stock for me and I’ll pay you back with interest when I sell”) which is a thing rich people do. But those stocks were worthless he still owed for the original price AND interest. He “sold” both his wine collection and his antique map collection, meaning he went to a guy he made rich and told him to give him money with those things as collateral even though it wasn’t worth the money he got. He lost Chesapeake and started a company in a building across the street overlooking the campus that he built. He was trying illegal stuff to get back to a semblance of the money he used to make, which is why he got indicted. If he committed suicide, his family would get nothing. If he died in an “accident,” his family got the life insurance payout. Make it look like an accident, folks. And NEVER leave a note.

  6. Was he indicted for selling illegal stuff while running his new company? I thought the indictments were related to his time at Chesapeake.

  7. Just over 36/hr (40 hrs/week with occasional OT paying about 54/hr) as a government employee. Plus benefits.

  8. Jeez, that’s pretty insane. What do you do?

  9. I'd rather not talk publicly about it (the less out there about me the better lol), but feel free to DM if you (or anyone else) is curious.

  10. I guess they should just starve or get evicted and live on the streets. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  11. I don't like it, but the sad truth is that's the situation there is a good chance they'll be putting someone else in when they hit them while uninsured, even if that driver has UMA while everything is getting sorted out.

  12. I'm not saying they should do it. I'm just saying that it's inevitable given the economic conditions of Oklahoma that it's going to happen frequently. Folks are going to do what they feel they have to do. It's unreasonable to expect otherwise.

  13. Once you're hit by someone without insurance or you know someone personally (not just in business) that is hit while having liability only insurance, it changes your perspective to be on the other end because that person now has to figure out how they're going to survive without their vehicle, even though they were the responsible one doing what they were supposed to do when they registered and insured their car, making sure to also mitigate anything that happened as a result of their irresponsiblity while driving the car.

  14. Perfect so when you go to the middle east again we will tell you the same thing , ok ? Or thouse sandal goat herders are a threat to us all suddenly?

  15. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_military_intervention_in_Libya

  16. You need at least 3 channels. I would step up to Sonos Beam. However I would save and do a 3.1 component setup.

  17. Can you link some of those you recommend? I'm in the market for a decent sound system myself.

  18. There was a period of time I would routinely check those for entertainment.

  19. That and Backpage were hilarious forms of entertainment.

  20. I can see the Devon Tower from UCO’s parking lot in Edmond.

  21. I know this'll get downvoted, but since I don't see the person mentioning it at all, I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess the person didn't pay for a few months, got a notice or 2 in the mail they didn't read/ignored, and this happened.

  22. Keep going until you fall off that limb. It's asinine to go out of your way to make baseless assumptions in favor of scummy corporations over an individual human being.

  23. I'm basing my opinion on the individual human being leaving out very important information in their post, instead trying to compare what happened to them to an actual tragedy that occurred 125 years ago.

  24. Dude, people have government databases every day just for the fun of it. Big time federal three letter agencies have been getting the shit hacked out of themselves for over a decade with multiple tens of millions of people's "everything"

  25. Never said it wouldn't ever happen. Just said the data kept on it is pointless to "expose" since it's just a name and a photo, thus hacking it is a waste of time.

  26. Are you implying or saying that a government-owned operator databse is not hackable?

  27. No, but the risk in hacking it puts more on your ass than a company database.

  28. How long did she actually work ? (10) years only gets one vested for Social Security but ity really doesn’t create a very high retirement benefit since that computation is built on about 35 years of earnings.

  29. Looks like she immigrated here about 15 years ago and did not make much working 10 of those 15 years.

  30. But that wouldn't have changed anything here, since the couple was aware eviction was coming weeks prior.

  31. I don't see how it would have. The guy was ready to set the place on fire when they showed up, and I don't see that changing.

  32. Well also let's put it this way. "Loan" the money to Ukraine. Once they whoop Russian's asses, make them pay for all the damages and Loan at triple the price. Win-win in my opinion.

  33. Are there a ton of Russian assets even in the US to seize? We've been sanctioning them for years now.

  34. Even if there were, international law makes international assets/funds difficult to seize.

  35. lol I do that but I open the new card for the purchase not for the balance car.

  36. most dealerships don't let you put more than a small percentage of the down payment on a credit card because of credit card fees

  37. Mid 20s is "still on parent's insurance" territory though

  38. Usually for health, but car insurance companies can you kick your kids off your family policies unless they live with you in your mid 20s, and even then they may still.

  39. It reads as though the secretary of education’s office fucked up and is now trying to get money back. It’s just one slap in the face after the other.

  40. Possibly, but it's generally understood that if an entity messes up and gives money it isn't supposed to, that doesn't mean you get to keep the money when the error is discovered. And it's on both sides to make sure the teachers qualified. Not just the Dept of Ed.

  41. The 50k counts as income, they paid taxes on their income. They lost the income, the IRS will send the additional back.

  42. Though they may have to file an amended return to do so, this is what will happen.

  43. there's so much more to maintaining nuclear weapons than that lol, they didn't have any infrastructure to do so and would have taken decades to build them. The weapons for already about to fail, Ukraine was flat broke and very corrupt then.

  44. Yup. That's why they took a pile of money, a pile of debt forgiveness (billions) in return for Russia taking back their own nukes without conflict.

  45. Did you just suggest the U.S. was going to help Russia invade Ukraine in the 1990's?

  46. No, but they also weren't going to give Ukraine even a hint of military aid if they did get invaded over a refusal to turn over their nuclear weapons.

  47. Call early in the morning for best chance at help over the phone.

  48. True, and Stitt was the one who brought him into state govt to begin with. But at least in less than 3 years we get rid of him.

  49. Or if the daughter got a refund, but lied to her mom and kept the money.

  50. Since the post/comment history doesn't exactly hide drug use, I'm actually hoping this is the case and the daughter was able to use it for herself instead of fuel at least 1 clear drug habit.

  51. They might be stressed about more than one thing. Also, it's one class in school. Maybe the kid is a whiz at Computers and doesn't need biology help. Maybe the mom isn't going to talk about how stressed she is about her daughter's grades on a subreddit where she's seeking legal advice, because that isn't relevant.

  52. One look at their comment/post history eliminates any slack I was even considering cutting here.

  53. Please do not post the personal info of models. They have a stage name for a reason.

  54. Yeah... let's not dox ex models no longer in the industry.
