Try to use L2 for air roll (spins ur car in order to maneuver and hit the ball better) just try to hit the ball in the general direction of the goal right off the jump from the wall, and with time and practice you’ll get it just right. best of luck!
it might be better to leave the air roll stuff for a bit later and first focus on making sure your initial setup is good, where your first hit on the ball is already in the direction of the goal
