  1. Rainbow Cone was invented because they had a bunch of weird ice cream flavors no one wanted.

  2. I just got one too. It’s so satisfying sliding the cover on and off. And the ports lighting up when you rotate it. Such over engineered features offering no practical use.

  3. Rat Kings are when multiple rat tails get knotted and they form a hive-mind. This is no rat king.

  4. These cans instantly bring me back to my childhood and would always sit at the bottom of my bagged lunch for school.

  5. My mom gave a can of that stuff daily in my school lunch wrapped in foil to… keep it cold? Helped wash down the chickenroll sandwich on white bread, Doritos, and a ding dong. I don’t know how I’m still alive.

  6. The weirdos are going to poop their pants coming up with conspiracies on what goes on in the non-windowed areas.

  7. We're still using classvr. I think it's stayed around due to easy management and relevant content. Still had our fair share of hardware and connectivity issues though. We tried AI in the classroom with Merlyn, but that flopped hard with no real direction

  8. I’ve read it. And ready player 2. Reading Armada now.

  9. 100%. I'm not sure how much longer it will be open, so act while you can.

  10. Yeah, Jim was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Tours are now by appointment only. Truly a one of a kind experience.

  11. I don’t think the truck was abandoned. The family that started that hot dog place run the liquor store around the corner.

  12. I just walked by it for the first time last weekend and my kids got some giggles from it. It was not in good shape. Windshield smashed out, lights broken, and covered in graffiti.

  13. What do you have on your car to protect from catalytic converter theft?

  14. Has Revolution Anti-Hero gone downhill in quality lately? It used to be a go-to but lately taste is all over the place and I get a headache after two cans.

  15. Any update on this? My parents are renovating their kitchen and are looking at getting the criterion with the 3rd rack.

  16. Still going strong. Another mild annoyance is the capacitive buttons get activated when you open and close the machine if you’re not careful. So it’s constantly ready to start some random cycle and you have to figure out how to reset it. Not a huge problem but it can be annoying

  17. FATHER TERRY-all the Chicagoland Catholic school kids can tell you about Father Terry aka the piano man. I remember his denim vest with a deer decal on the back of it.

  18. Anyone have any experience with One Medical (especially with BCBS HMO)? Recently moved back to Chicago and I can’t find a reliable doctor for myself and kids. I know it’s Amazon but at least they seem to be easy to get ahold of.

  19. That’s GoDaddy, who stole the domain from you. GoDaddy tracks their searches, buys the domains, and then resells it at a higher cost

  20. It’s not GoDaddy. It’s their privacy protection service that hides the identity of whoever bought it.

  21. So the alternative would be someone has hacked GoDaddy and is being fed searches that they then hide being their privacy protection.

  22. Could be bots watching for LLC filings and scooping up domains if they’re not already registered.

  23. My cat used to play fetch with himself. He brought a bouncy ball to the top of the stairs, tossed it down, and then chased it downstairs. Over and over. Sadly, he grew out of it.

  24. A thermal camera that connects to my phone. I got it to check for drafts at my house and it’s small enough to keep in my backpack. It’s come in handy a few times to confirm faulty equipment that’s overheating.

  25. Which one do you use? I've been considering one.

  26. Flir One. Probably the first gen. It’s super low resolution but it gets the job done. I imagine the newer ones are better

  27. Exactly this. I say this as someone who has at times been very active in the Antiwork subs and still has some resentment towards certain things. There still is a way these things should be handled. I also have daydreamed about quitting a job on the spot as a huge “F You” to a horrible boss/job but realistically, there’s still a proper way to go about it.

  28. The rage-quitters become somewhat of a joke or just gossip for a few days anyway. I’ve seen it happen numerous times (and often the quitter was justified) but it never made a difference. It was just a story told for a few days and life went on.

  29. All the food ate since first grade is still alive inside your body.

  30. The gold ring scam is one of the oldest scams in history, and is done all around the world to this day.

  31. I gave an old guy $5 at a gas station in the late 90s on my way home from Metallica concert. I was like 17 and it was 1am. He gave me a huge “old timer” pocket knife that I still have. I sometimes wonder how close I was to being murdered that night.

  32. I ordered mine on the 3rd to be delivered 25 miles from where it ships. They made a label on the 9th but it still hasn’t gotten FedEx. I’m very annoyed since it’s looking like I’ll be snowed in all weekend without it.
