  1. That’s custom, we did a job like this a long time ago in FortCollins CO, and it still is this way so others had followed. Actually we pulled a chalk line all the way across, the pulled it down to a point at center and snapped two lines, we did it one row at a time and it took some finesse, and quite a bit of beer!

  2. I was going to ask if it was that house. I love that place!

  3. That’s a good question, I wondered myself, if it’s the house I’d shit, but there’s a helluva lot of traffic there, it very well could be!

  4. I just looked it up on Google Street view. It is absolutely the same house.

  5. That is a much, MUCH better deal for a new 2023 GT than what my local dealer here in NorCal offered me on Sunday... they offered only about $2k off MSRP and then Kia's $7500. Monthly payment with $7k due at signing was still going to be north of $500/mo. (California doesn't offer any state EV incentives at this point, all those funds are used up.)

  6. I used to live on the border and paid attention to the exchange but that was years ago. I think it's crazy how much it's bounced back and forth. Your car market better than the housing market? I keep seeing news about it being a crisis but don't know if they're just selling panic like they do everywhere else.

  7. It’s probably slightly less efficient, but I’d drive whatever way is most comfortable for you.

  8. I read that eco forces it to use only rwd, does this get overruled by the i-pedal?

  9. If that kid grows up to be a serial killer, no one can claim they didn't see it coming.

  10. I love how respectful these people were to the giraffe. They didn't even try to touch it. I would have needed to be restrained to keep from 'petting' it! What an amazing thing to experience.

  11. This is the proper way to interact with wildlife. Caution and keeping your hands to yourself. Check out the video of the person that tried petting a moose. Fork that.

  13. Those two images are commonly used when testing for whether or not you need glasses. It's an eyesight test. If you don't know what they are, like means you've never had cause for concern for your vision.

  14. Bah. If this were posted in 3 days I would have known what it was. I'm going in for my first eye exam at 37. My wife is near blind and insisted I start going since they can see early warning signs for other things now with eye exams.

  15. I have become so inspired by how my friends who are mothers are raising their boys. A lot more emphasis on talking about feelings, a lot more nurturing with their sons. They hug them more, and definitely do the work to dismantle toxic masculine expectations and ideals

  16. As a step dad, I'm very frustrated that my girls are being partially raised by a man so insecure with connecting to people that he finds the need to have a "warning: toxic masculinity" bumper sticker on his car. I try teaching them that they shouldn't accept that as regular or proper behavior from anyone. We are social creatures and the better we share feelings and express our needs to each other, the more we thrive.

  17. This is clearly not in the same country as the people claiming they're in violation without an escort. Someone mentioned China, I'm not sure if that's the case but can see blurry text that could be Chinese script.

  18. They also sell something called deodorant. Pretty small too so it’s easy to carry around.

  19. I shave my pits to help my deodorant be more reliable. It's a combo of reasons, don't act like people are dumb and that deodorant works perfectly for everyone.

  20. Someone help me out here. In what application does this actually matter?

  21. For pedants who like to be technically right but practically stupid.

  22. That part I figured out on my own lol. I just got lost because it kept getting reposted like the must be more to it than that but clearly not.

  23. This is what happens when I ask my dog "Do you", he doesn't wait for the end of the question, straight to berserk mode.

  24. Guys never really grow up, they just get older. I love this.

  25. I've been saying this for years and you're the first person I've ever heard say it as well.

  26. This is such a pointless and hateful meme. No one in 1000 years is going to be digging up corpses from today unless there's some gigantic loss of records. Also, cremation is on the rise and is predicted to be 80% in the next 10 years. The chances of anyone doing this in the future and finding a trans person is almost zero.

  27. THEY REALLY MOVE LIKE THAT, THE LION KING DIDN'T LIE TO ME

  28. So which song popped into your head first?

  29. I think Will Smith was far worse. After seeing many of the comments in this thread, it seems it was a terribly cast movie in general.

  30. I think the label for "lgbt+" is chosen badly. If you're trans, do you choose your gender or lgbt?

  31. I think that last paragraph encapsulates a large part of it. You can be supportive without knowing how it all works. Trying to be inclusive and then seeing people shut you down for it because it doesn't quite hit the mark doesn't further the cause.

  32. Bringing vasalgel to the main stream as well as HPV vaccines would fix a lot of these issues.

  33. He should have just said it was good meeting you.

  34. Riding a bike up a mountain road and blocking traffic that can actually do faster than 2mph.

  35. In OPs video though that road is made for leisure. It's a road to nowhere where cycling is encouraged.

  36. No one said otherwise. I was only commenting on someone else wondering why redditors don't like cyclists. In every aspect the driver in the video was in the wrong and should never drive again.

  37. You literally said (paraphrasing) “when cyclists feel entitled to clog up the road when they don’t have the right of way like in OP’s video.” The cyclists in the OP video had complete right of way and are on a federal state park road designed for cyclists to enjoy a scenic ride.

  38. That was poorly phrased, I'm saying the cyclists in the video have the right of way. It's posted in the park and not where I travel and see a lot of cyclists. I suppose they do as well going up the mountain but they don't belong there either way. Again, having a right to do so, doesn't make it safe for anyone involved.

  39. Android has this down perfectly. When rotation lock is turned on, and you try to rotate the phone, it puts a button on the screen asking if you want to rotate. When rotation lock is off, it just rotates automatically.

  40. I miss android. I only went iphone for better security but I might just risk going back. There's a ton of simple stuff iphones haven't implemented yet that drive me insane.
