  1. This is America. It doesn't have to be like this, y'all. 🔥

  2. At this point I think it is obvious that the people that hate us are getting more desperate, as they are losing more people are coming out as lgbt. But these acts of violence can not go unseen unfortunately due to the current state of police and the history of how the government has treated lgbt people in the past. I think it’s vitally important that more lgbt people who are of sound mind start to arm themselves. The only way to secure security and freedom is though the having of arms as a deterrent. As goes the old adage “if you want peace, prepare for war”. So I encourage all go out purchase a firearm conceal carry if you can and train.

  3. These suggestions are fantastic. Can you elaborate on why you chose these specifically? Very interested in arming up for my family.

  4. every post on daddit titled “not sure how my family survived.. never been this scared” is about a kid that left the window open while the heater ran and every daddit post titled “whew… having a rough one” is about the mom bolting during a six month old’s leukemia treatments.

  5. It's really lost it's charm for me. Get a new punchline, dads. Although, it is very dad-like to overuse a joke 🤠

  6. I scrolled through the comments, knowing some asshat like you would chime in. People like you rub me so wrong. Comparing your experience to someone else's experience as if they are equals is so inappropriate. I just knew a forced birther would try to make someone else's pain about themself.

  7. Apparently George RR Martin says the 6 feet under series finale is one of the best of all time.

  8. Hard agree. I cry like a baby EVERY SINGLE WATCH. It gives you the feeling of reading a really good book, and that's a hard feeling to replicate. Like wtf do I do now kinda feeling.

  9. Did your parents discuss your donor as you were growing up? How did those conversations go? Did you feel 'satisfied' with your family or did you have some longing to experience what you didn't have?

  10. Are you medicated? I'm no pill pusher and capitalism fucking sucks, but after medication, I'm able to hold a job. I used to want to kms after about 3 months at a job. Now, it's been extended to about a year lol 🤷‍♂️

  11. Hey! I'm getting genetic testing for BRCA2. Did your genetic history alter anything the surgeon did? You kept your nipples, did they indicate any further complications of the BRCA diagnosis with keeping them? Sending strength your way!

  12. Thank you for such an insightful response. Cheers to you and your chest! May your health be well for a long ways ❤️

  13. While never officially indicted, a grand jury accused John and Patsy Ramsey of child abuse resulting in JonBenet's death. But the DA refused to prosecute. I think that's something that always seems to be forgotten with this case.

  14. When you're rich, rules do not apply. Capitalists write the rules and evade them. I hate it, but it is true. Until we seize the means, the Ramsey's of this world will continue to elude the consequences of their actions.

  15. DAs refuse to prosecute a lot of cases… because they know they won’t win, at least not yet. They could only get one shot. There could be a lot of reasons the DA didn’t proceed, most of which don’t have anything to do with their money. They weren’t like 1%ers or anything

  16. I read a really great article someone posted about this somewhere in Reddit - probably this page - I couldnt read it all it was so long but it made so much sense. I should have saved it. The woman (some type of senior experienced crime investigator) liked the dad for it and explained every single angle. What got me the most was her theory on the note. How in benefitted one person - the dad. Was written on paper from inside the house. She theorized about the pineapple found in Jonbenets stomach and the tissues found by her / on her. Everything made so much sense. I googled it right now to try and find it and the dad put some new info out today , interesting.

  17. I do. I think Burke hit her on the head with a heavy flashlight out of anger and it basically killed her. It was an accident but it doesn’t take much to cause damage to a small child in that instance, even by another child. Then, thinking she was already dead, the parents tied the garrote around her neck, to make it look like an intruder/another cause of death. They worried Burke would end up in prison which of course wouldn’t happen. No other explanation makes sense - why else would they go to such lengths other than to protect their other child?

  18. I agree. I cannot get over the pineapple. And the note written by Patsy. Why would Patsy write the note if an intruder murdered her daughter? All handwriting analysis points to her writing.

  19. Did you consider adoption after this? Considering that you had the nursery and everything planned out?

  20. Adoption is not the solution to infertility/reproductive challenges. Adoption is a traumatic event for the adoptee, and they don't deserve to be a political pawn or a prize for an infertile couple. Just my two cents, carry on.

  21. Yo if it makes you feel better, Sand Rock is lack luster for me, personally... The characters are generic with generic dialogue and it feels somehow 'dark'. Idk how to explain it. I loved Portia, but I wasn't impressed with Sandrock.

  22. This issue is nicotine is a vasoconstrictor and that loss of blood flow will slow down healing and even potentially cause complications.

  23. Just curious, do you have sources on the chronic use of weed linked to vasoconstriction? Not that I don't believe you, but I do need to cut back and science helps me make informed decisions!

  24. I don’t know why you guys down voted this guy- he’s right.

  25. Former employee here from "the Farm"... run as fast as you can from SF. It's a sinking ship. Training is non existent for new hires, volume is far too great for employees, and retention is horrible. A storm is brewing there. I'd hate to have any lines of business there...

  26. We need more action along these lines... a king is nothing without his kingdom. The kingdom is nearing full on revolt, so I'd tread carefully as a "king".

  27. No it is not. It’s just that we need to help people that need it (people below the poverty line) and the rest of us need to be responsible. If you don’t want to make lunch or pay for you kids lunch then don’t have kids. I don’t believe in throwing tax money at every laziness.

  28. This energy would be better directed at the top 10% wealth holders... working class solidarity is all we have. I don't care if someone 'forgot' or is 'lazy'. We have advanced as a society to not have to place the burden further on the middle class.

  29. My middle child was diagnosed at 10. I am not exaggerating that the difference was night and day. The last school year before meds was a struggle. Tears over math homework. Inept with social cues. Struggling to read. We were exhausted by the bedtime.

  30. Your use of they/them/theirs pronouns for your child is so heart warming, as a 30 year old enby. Your support of your child is everything and your child will thank you. I thank you.

  31. the problem is not the student loans, but the tuition cost of university in the US.

  32. I am also lucky enough to work for a company that treats us with dignity and respect. Not all USA companies are bad, but the lack of laws regarding this allows the more unscrupulous companies to get away with being heartless. It does suck. :(

  33. They are not doing it because it's cute. They are doing it because they need to otherwise the child will need their attention. Not everyone can afford daycare.

  34. And since our country hates poor people, parents, and the newly born, working class people have no choice but to limp along and make it work. You can tell many commenters here don't have children and are from a privileged background...

  35. Historically, this is the most accurate advice to make change... 🔥

  36. Get a work from home job lol jk it's not a solution for all, but I straight up found a new job that I can see my kiddo on breaks and save on commute time. If you're not tied to your job, why not take a looksie? The insurance industry is always hiring and very frequently is a position that can be completed remotely.
