  1. My 17 year old kitty has had mild acne that comes and goes over the past several years. Someone will clean it with a face wipe and then with a washcloth like the vets have told us, and it usually goes away pretty quickly. We changed to glass bowls from stainless steel for food and water about a year ago and I don’t think she’s had any acne since.

  2. Call literally any place pet-related in your area to try to get help, post to Facebook and other social media asking if anyone is able to help, and if those fail then appeal to a friend or neighbor who can provide transportation.

  3. My grandma had her cervix removed in the 80s and she hasn’t had any issues, same goes for my mom who had hers taken out early 2000s. I’m assuming I’ll be the same—at least I haven’t had any issues over the past 3 months. Pelvic floor therapy is strongly recommended

  4. Fair enough, I don't know the full list, that was just from memory

  5. Good riddance is Amanda, when I come around is Adrienne

  6. I don’t know where any of these are rumors coming from but they’re made up. Billie has given no public statement or even impression as to how the situation involved him or has effected him. I wish he would but I also get why he doesn’t. I do think he should, though.

  7. Billie has shared pictures with Joey in them twice on instagram that I can think of since the allegations came out and both times he took the picture down after a few hours, probably because people were upset and saying negative things about Joey. I didn’t see one of the pictures from his account myself, but I saw it form Green Day fan accounts that then posted it and added negative commentary about Joey.

  8. “Not as autistic as y’all” Tell us you’re ableist without telling us you’re ableist 🚩

  9. Origin always said I’ve played zero hours they trippin

  10. My mom’s mom had a hysterectomy back in the 80s because of fibroids. My mom had one in 2005 because of pre-cancer. Now I’ve had one in 2022 because of adenomyosis. And we all had to fight tooth and nail to have the procedure done because no one would take us seriously—infuriating how absolutely nothing has changed

  11. When your symptoms interfere with your daily life this much, it’s worth considering seeing a psychiatrist—if you are in a position to do so—to see about treatment for your mood-related symptoms. I have OCD so I’ve already been prescribed an SSRI for years, and it’s also helped manage my PMDD symptoms as well.

  12. Wow this is all very useful!!! I hope to see a psychiatrist this year if I can and if not the minute I can take myself to one. I will keep in mind the information about nexplanon, if only there was one cure!!!! I wish my mother wasn’t so against birth controls, it’s so ridiculous and knowing a possible answer to a big issue in my life is at the nearest drug store is so frustrating. Getting diagnosed seems to be the best solution, no one can go against a diagnosis!! This period is hitting me like a truck and will most likely miss tomorrow as well, hopefully this’ll be a wake up call for my mother. And that group actually seems very useful!!! i plan on checking it out with or without a diagnosis, better safe than sorry. thank you so much for writing this out and taking the time to give so many recommendations and resources, this will truly help so much. hope you’re doing alright out there <3

  13. I’m happy to help, I know how it feels to be in your place and it’s not fun. Unfortunately the only cure for PMDD is to remove the ovaries, which comes with its own list of complications! I had a hysterectomy recently (I had very severe adenomyosis) but I kept my ovaries so they still release eggs and I still have PMDD.

  14. I interpreted the flag post as a tongue-in-cheek way of saying “haha right wingers, the autistics have vandalized your precious flag and used your slogan against you, how do you like it now?” But maybe I totally misread the intent behind it

  15. I found someone selling a bunch of refills on Mercari for half of what she paid. I’m pretty cautious when it comes to buying stuff like that second hand but all of the boxes were sealed and she had the original receipt. It’s worth a shot :)

  16. Somehow found this thread nearly a year later but check out

  17. My gynecologist always told me skipping was fine, it just didn’t work me.

  18. Seconding the IUD. I tried so many different types of pills starting at age 12 (I had adenomyosis) and the only thing that finally provided some relief from my PMDD symptoms was an IUD—Kyleena and then Mirena!

  19. I know kids as young as 12 who have been placed in juvenile facilities there for lesser offenses in Brazil; the police should be able to do something. And I remember seeing Jair Bolsonaro’s dog “sign” a new animal welfare law into affect in 2020. Not sure if that would apply to this case tho :/

  20. I’m confused why they couldn’t do anything. Can minors not be arrested when they commit crimes in Brazil?

  21. The minimum age of criminal responsibility is 18, 16 for some crimes, and kids younger than that can have criminal liability but it’s iffy

  22. OP is kinda sus… Keeps referring to his kid as “the child” and “it” lol

  23. Not everyone speaks English fluently or as a primary language…

  24. Ableism is something I think about a lot when my PMDD symptoms flare, because I just get constant intrusive thoughts about things that make me sad and that’s one of them. If I wasn’t autistic or otherwise disabled I probably wouldn’t be thinking about that 🥴😅

  25. More so the duality of people’s life experiences that shape their opinion of people in power, I would say

  26. My recommendation for whenever I see a post like this one is a visit to a group on Facebook called Nancy’s Nook Endometriosis Education—it’s meant to be a resource guide for endometriosis but there’s also a lot of info on other reproductive system issues and they have resources for doctors and treatment plans around the globe.

  27. When you say prioritize their voices, that insinuates that the low functioning voice is more important. It’s also blantantly clear that you believe life is easier for people on the other side of the spectrum. I don’t know you’re exact experiences with Autism, and I don’t know what it’s like to be you, but neither do you. And trust, life isn’t a cake walk. My condition is debilitating, whether you believe it is or not. There are plenty of issues on both sides that the other side has no clue how difficult those symptoms are. This doesn’t have to be us vs them, but when people say shit like this, you alienate the voices of “higher functioning” individuals. It shouldn’t be a suffering competition. Why can’t we all have a voice without feeling like one voice needs to be more important or “prioritized”.

  28. I think I can understand how my comment might sound like I’m advocating for autistics with higher support needs over those with lower support needs if you’re not looking at it with the context of the original post I was replying to—does it seem to deviate too much from the original post?

  29. I agree with this sentiment. I think I got confused and a little triggered by the word “prioritize” maybe.

  30. I truly apologize, it wasn’t my intent to trigger anyone. I couldn’t think of a better way to phrase that sentence but I should have at least included the relevant info that would have clarified it. I appreciate you civilly challenging me on that point so that we could reach an understanding :)

  31. I’ve been a roblox player for over a decade. Roblox won’t do shit because it’s “not on their platform”. Roblox moderators are useless.

  32. I had a similar experience except I was groomed both online and in-person when I was 12. One night I overheard my dad tell my mom I was acting like a whore, and my mom took away all of my belongings in my room so I was just left with my bed, clothes, and furniture for many months as my “punishment”. I don’t think the trauma of your parents turning on you when you needed them the most can ever go away

  33. Thank you. I unfortunately still rely on my parents for many things and the relationships I have with them are strained, but I’m slowly becoming more independent—I’ve been able to turn to others for help when I need it, so I feel like I’m doing a lot better mentally and I’m getting the treatment I need to overcome my past :)

  35. What I took away from my college career is that professors are often (unintentionally) ableist in an attempt to be “edgy” to better connect with their students. Unfortunately, if someone confronts them about it, many will stubbornly double down and refuse to admit that what they said/did was wrong. This was especially true for the psychology and education departments where textbooks still use outdated terminology and ABA is all the rage (I once had a professor laugh at my questions about the ethics of ABA in front of the rest of the class and tell me I was being silly, for example)

  36. If your dog becomes sick from the chocolate (it usually just gives them diarrhea unless they eat a ton of it) you’re gonna need to pay a lot more than $75 to treat them
