I’ve been playing for about 3 years or so and have all of sol 4 stared, at mid UL, have 101 medals, done all advents and events, and a whopping 2313 hours with 331 units
I have 115 flags atm at end game. So I would say use them but try to get the max energy cap if you aren’t there yet as you get more energy per flag. Also do sol/catamin stages to get more flags.

You can try seed tracking
This is just me but I feel more prideful if I don’t use tracking. Though definitely it saves you the pain of dupes in general
By the way this is from someone who has 74 Ubers and 8 plat dupes
