Yeah mine is. I’d say 150-200 would be about average with an electric hot water heater and electric heating in a 120+ year old building.

It’s just the characteristics of the wood. Varnish would make it look better but alternatively you could of got a different type of wood with different grains/knots

Thanks for the reply. It’s definitely not the grains or knots. It’s an obvious black/dark green which is why I assumed it was mould.

You can try painting on a 1:10 dilution of thin bleach (sodium hypochlorite), or hydrogen peroxide (sodium percarbonate powder: "vanish oxyaction", "the pink stuff" is the easiest form to find in UK but it might leave salt residue to wipe off). Because wood is also a natural material any bleach will also oxidise the wood a little and can make the colour a greyer shade. Woodstain will likely be ok. Is this for anything important or just using up scraps for something quick? You can buy "wood bleach" specifically for wood if it's for something important.

So they’ve been waiting for 2000 yrs to get a pure red cow so they can finally rebuild the temple (they believe God will live there in temple although Jesus and God did not approve of how the Jewish priests placed the temple above God/Jesus. But this is part of Gods covenant with Israel and they will believe this (Old Testament stuff) until Jesus comes back for 2nd time.

This leg design results in an unstable desk in the backwards direction. Even though the weight of the desktop would help, from a structural standpoint it's unstable.

Fair points but it’ll be against a wall. I live in an old building and all of the walls and flooring is slightly out so I was going to use small brackets to attach it to the back wall and hold the base of the frame level.

Only desk I know of that goes down that low is the Uppeal desk which goes down to 37cm. They are a US based company but state they ship internationally. Unfortunately it will probably end up costing more than the desk you listed. I have never seen a desk with the columns that far back before besides a wall mounted desk. The next best thing would be a C frame desk. I am not familiar with the UK market but here is an example

By using that paint you're blocking in the moisture. There is no solution other than removing damp material and allowing irremovable dmao items to dry. This can take months to years.
