  1. Part of the issue is that the specifics of that particular job lends itself to libertarianism, meaning a lot of the people working that job are opposed to unions and unionizing.

  2. Software engineer may be a high paying job. Games programmer is not. I would double my salary immediately if I left the games industry

  3. I'm looking for the answer "Pizza" .... Can anyone please tell me it's healthy?

  4. It's not terrible for you, not great either. But any food, in moderation, is healthy.

  5. I had an account for my towns Amazon locker going for a good two years until I moved

  6. Charles Tyrwhitt for me. For a high street brand, their shirts are excellent quality as shown by the fact that it seems like half of the City wears them. Big plus for me is that they offer varying sizing in sleeve length and their staff in-store do tend to know their stuff when it comes to sizing. Yes their RRP is pricey but they always seem to have special buys or sales so I have never paid list price.

  7. And they also donate a massive amount of stock to charity shops each quarter. We used to have about 30 large boxes of their shirts and chinos donated to us every few months

  8. Ozai is 100% not Vader. Zuko is the Darth Vader, the one who questioned his identity with evil vs good, the one who was manipulated by what he should be, Ozai’s son, to do bad things and when he learned that was not him he joined the good side in the end and chose the right thing. Ozai is honestly more like a Palpatine

  9. "joined the good side in the end" unpopular opinion that Darth Vader saving Luke at the end does not mean he's on the good side. He literally committed mass genocide, ain't no redeeming that

  10. Almost all the ones in Greater London close at midnight. Ditto Tesco

  11. Seriously? My somewhat small market town has 24hour asda Monday-Fridays and then it's open 18 hours on weekends. Expected more from London

  12. The book "Coming up for Air" by George Orwell came out a few months before WW2 started and dealt with a lot of thoughts of impending war. Really good book to read.

  13. Saints Row remake. Played the tutorial mission, got into the open world and immediately hated everything about it.

  14. I started playing it a few works back and wasn't immediately a fan, then I played Saints Row 3 again and realized a crap tonne of gameplay improvements in the reboot that nostalgia wasn't allowing me to see. Don't get me wrong the reboot isn't perfect but I find it completely enjoyable once I dispelled my nostalgia of the series.

  15. We have a Miele vacuum cleaner my husband bought in a charity shop. I think he loves it more than me and I’m ok with that

  16. I swear Miele appliances are just built to last. My parents have still got a 25 year old tumble dryer from them, only needed to have a belt replaced once and no issues other than that.

  17. Factorio ruined logistic automation esque games for me. I just can't seem to find any that fill me with the same love of automation, building and expanding

  18. I went to Mexico, and several restaurants were serving Lincolnshire sausages. I'm not sure how popular they were, but it was odd seeing them halfway across the world

  19. 22 graduate 6 months into my first proper post uni job, I'm on 28k which is about 2.5k above average for my job (Junior Gameplay Programmer) but its only above average because its a Manchester based studio so they pay higher to factor in higher apartment costs.

  20. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't think it would be trivial for someone with no programming knowledge to use Unity. UE, sure since it has Blueprints, but there is no Unity equivalent

  21. Unity does have visual scripting now, however I have not personally used it so can't say how good it is.

  22. I used to commute about 75% of the bury-altrincham line and would get checked MAXIMUM once a week. Usually less.

  23. Yeah I go from Deansgate / Didsbury and I get checked maybe once a month. Only travelling in rush hour though so that's probably why

  24. This was a Monstera at a Botanical Gardens in Palermo, Sicily. It had some fruit as well
