Just a quick heads up. You can add any upgrade to a vehicle under warranty without it voiding your warranty unless thus upgrade is proven to cause the failure of a component under warranty!
Thanks! Yes that’s the plan. I will be keeping it outdoors for summer but finding a nice location where I can keep display it and yet it has good sunlight. I was actually considering to continue making cuttings and fuse them as I go. I do not like the fact that it’s bent already - but that’s what I am starting with. Another thought is to take cutting and start banyan tree design on that only - just not sure yet.
After a couple years of growing out and fusing cuttings onto the trunk, the movement in the tree will disappear/get swallowed by the fusions. It won't be an issue.
Thanks. It was from a park, so I won’t be able to get more. I was hoping to keep them alive and maybe keep one as mother tree and rest clump together or separate bonsai. I have potted them in beer glasses with drainage holes and regular potting soil.
I plan to track and document the progress with this thread. To germinate the seed, I used typical method shown in many YouTube tutorials. Open the seed pod, peeled off the flaky portion so seed doesn’t rot, and then placed on a moist paper towel. It took almost a month for seed to germinate - probably due to our cold climate. Finally yesterday the seed sprouted. I plan to grow this in a pot and keep it outdoors for summer, bring it indoors for winter - zone 5.
You will have to monitor it, yes. We just rub them out when they appear, and we've had Kwanzan's for 20+ years. Real beauties need a little maintenance sometimes. ;0)
You can use just about any dash cam you want as a rear. If it can be mounted and pointing in right direction, then powered, you’re all set.
Thank you good sir for detailed response. Going to try the 67w, and see how it fits.
This is very in-depth video on what happens before delivery…
That was an awesome watch. Thank you for sharing it!
Indeed! He’s quite knowledgeable. Since I got the call a few weeks ago about my vehicle in production I have been following this guy.
Fitcam X. Fits perfect. Software is ... ok, but fit and finish are amazing, and stealthy. Otherwise, the OEM one, which costs around $300.
I have a question about fitcamx if anyone can answer. I wonder if you do wired install like the one in the video below, does it affect the warranty?

Thanks! That is good to know.
Web worms. Remove them. Burn them. I'm not kidding.
Thanks! Will have to give this a try.
Eh, it could be faster. But it will never get there if kept indoors by a window and in that pot.

I may just try that!
Any other suggestions? I think under the tree won’t be good option as many of you eluded to.
Roses need full sun
True. Didn’t think about that, however the tree is south facing.
I collected a lot of JM seedlings from under my yard tree this year as well.

if you have the seedling bug, buy some more acer palmatum seeds!
I did not have much luck with seeds, could be just bad seeds. Tried cold stratification and then put them in seed raising mix.

Yes, asap. Those rootstock shoots will eventually overpower the grafted growth.
Thanks. Curious if those buds will stop popping eventually? Or they need to be kept in check for couple of years?

Haha agreed! It was one of the wish list trees, excited to see it grow over years to come!
