Idk , I have done this a long time . I do agar and clone ext . And my times never seem to be as good as most of these ppl either. At least when it comes to pin to full grown . I stopped caring , cause I still get amazing yields. And great mushrooms .
I’m currently trying coir, manure and perlite with like a legit sprinkle of earthworm castings. I COULD switch it up if I need to but I’ll have to go find more coir somewhere. Do you think it’ll work with what I got going on though? I haven’t mixed in the spawn yet
Imo jars are the way to go . I would still get a pressure cooker or a steralizer though . I originally went with jars because I don't wana have the waste of bags . Trying to do my part for the environment. But now they make biodegradable bags , so I tried them . I didn't like the way the look coming out of the PC . They always seem to wet . So I went back to my tried and true jars . I might loose 1 or 2 out of 50 . But feel that's not a horrible loss ...
I watched an experament on YouTube with one of those , and it worked well . The guy left an open plate in front of it for an extended amount of time . Hours maybe a full day , can't remember, but it did NOT contam .
I have never used plastic lids . Do you leave them loose ? Or are you tighten them down b4 you PC? Process should be the same as metal lids . And typically we leave them a little loose .
Yes, I leave them a little loose and then tighten as soon as they're out of the PC. Might have to give metal lids a shot and see if it makes a difference, though in theory it should be the same.

Shake after you pull them out and then an hour or two after to redistribute moisture. There is always an inch or so that looks to wet when you pull them out . That is normal . Also try 2 hours in the PC , that will also help .
Don't use if it's got a water softner that uses salt . Spring water is what you want . Or purified. But honestly, unless it's pf tek or brf tek , you don't wana mist .
Get clean mycelium first . Going from mss to LC is risky . Go from mss to agar then agar to LC . I would at least try your mss on grain first just in case , if you can't do agar first . You don't want a contaminate your LC
I only use lme with agar or only potato dextrose with agar . There isn't really a rule . You can , but to much carbohydrate the mycelium won't grow . I have had great success with LME agar with nothing else added . Only thing I would think of adding is some peptone . It helps alot .

You don't inject into bulk substrate. Only into grain .

I would do a break and shake . If I bouncesback your good . If it doesn't, it was contaminated .
I already did shake and break when it was around 40% and it did bounce back so i guess it's good then?
Not really, it can contam at any point . That's why alot of us do a final shake at 100% .

Stop misting , stop fanning . Give fae , and it should bounce back . If you have good field capacity in bulk grows you shouldn't ever have to mist .
