  1. I just started it, am at the part where she sees the video on the computer, not surprised to read that the dementia escalates! I have theories about where things are going and I can’t wait to find out whether I’m right. It’s so compulsively readable!

  2. Neither my husband nor I drink. We’ve cruised together and I’ve also gone on solo cruises. We’ve never had a problem cruising as sober people. I do wish cruiselines carried a wider variety of non-alcoholic options (other than sodas and other sweet drinks) but that’s been a minor inconvenience. I’ve never gotten bored due to lack of things to do or been annoyed by drunken passengers on a cruise.

  3. Finished: Wonder Boy: Tony Hsieh, Zappos, and the Myth of Happiness in Silicon Valley, by Angel Au-Yeung and David Jeans

  4. I haven’t been on the Discovery, but the three Princess ships I have been on all had laundry rooms on each cabin deck that passengers could use. It’s one of the things I like about Princess—nice to be able to pack light. I’m not absolutely positive that all of their ships have this, but I think they do.

  5. Agreed. Language and music are a big miss for sure. But still would be less worse than living in darkness

  6. Music would be a big loss for me, too.

  7. 2. I’m a bit of a sub but not at all a masochist. (Although I suppose one could theoretically have a low pain tolerance and be a masochist? But then they’d have to be a very big masochist. Which I am not.)

  8. I would never waste such a holy snack ❤️ im sucking till that thing is GONE period

  9. Can I ask why you repeated it? Did it feel good? Or did you dislike the taste without? Was it just for variety?

  10. I liked the taste and found it to be both fun and silly to give a blow job that way. I know he liked it but I don’t recall what he specifically liked about it, compared to receiving a blow job not involving fruit roll-ups.

  11. This therapist does not appear to be very smart. Yes, autism and social anxiety are distinct concepts. No, this does not mean that they cannot coexist in the same person. Two concepts do not have to be synonyms to be related to each other.

  12. My husband and I each have our own Hyatt accounts and cards, which allowed us to get multiple sign up bonuses. If you also get Sapphire cards it becomes relatively easy to transfer Ultimate Rewards points between spouses’ accounts.

  13. Thank you for the response. How do you prioritize which one of you go for “status “?

  14. I go for status, because I travel both solo and with my husband, while he only travels with me.

  15. Was that a chuck reference with I know kung fu?

  16. Replying really late, but, just in case you were still wondering—I think it’s a Matrix reference.

  17. I’m already in my early 50s, so turning 55 and not feeling/looking any older for the rest of my life would be a good deal.

  18. Oh—in terms of food, the buffet and most of the dishes in the Main Dining Room are included. There are specialty restaurants that cost extra (unless you have a package that includes them), but I’ve never tried them.

  19. Water, lemonade, and iced tea are always free at the buffet. In the morning, the buffet has free coffee and juice. There are specialty coffees that are not included, but I’ve never been particularly tempted to buy more than a couple of them or of any other non-included beverage throughout a cruise. If you want any non-included beverages, it’s easy to buy them a la cart. While there are packages that include alcohol, non-alcoholic drinks, wifi, and tips, as a non-drinker the numbers have never added up to make it worth it for me to buy a package.

  20. No. Strangers’ dick pics are not at all arousing to me.

  21. 14 day cruises get heavily discounted from lack of demand sometimes, because that much time off is hard for most working Americans to get all at once, and is a long time to take kids out of school for.

  22. So sister is dying back at home but jake is not worried that seems like weird writing

  23. I just watched this tonight. Is she really dying? Based on his response on the phone I thought maybe there was something wrong that wasn’t terminal—like a serious psychological problem, but one the parents were more worried about than Jake was.

  24. I wait a few weeks after cruising and get offers via email and on the website. They’re always better than the offer at the end of the cruise.

  25. I'm not sure what you mean by this. Is the offer you get on the cruise something you need to accept right away? By accepting the onboard offer does that preclude getting anything online later?

  26. I’m not sure. I only gambled a couple hundred dollars total on video poker, and the offers I’ve got while on board were unappealing (like just a slight discount on my next cruise and a little free play.) I think they said that I had to accept while onboard to get those offers. If I had accepted one of those, I’m guessing I wouldn’t have gotten better offers later, but I can’t be certain.

  27. I like the Hotel Indigo Lower East Side, much prefer that to staying in Times Square.

  28. I’ve seen everyone say realise so many times. It’s realize. Everyone get it together please.

  29. It’s the British (and maybe some other places as well) spelling of the word. You’ve seen it written that way a lot because Americans are not the only people who speak English.

  30. Americans unaware that the English language has different spelling conventions in different countries.

  31. I think it was on this sub where someone recommended [REC], a great Spanish found-footage horror movie.
