Most of us will likely never even see a rarity like this in person. That’s amazing; even more so that he acquired it in Alaska? What a journey that rifle has had.
Looks like there is bluing over the pitting on the frame, which to me suggests at some point it was refinished, so the frame markings may have been sanded off to eliminate most of the pitting, leaving the pitting you see now, then reblued. Does the barrel serial match the slide?
Semi auto rifles, as I have quite a few bolt guns that follow me home often. I have a Garand, SVT-40, Hakim, 2 SKSs, and several modern rifles, but looking for more milsurp ones (pre FAL and M14 designs).
Looks like Ishapore 2A? $700 seems high. The single pic makes it difficult to assess. Check the bore. Looks like a repair at the toe. Offer $450. Let them counter at $500
Particles not to scale
Definitely not George Clooney
Clooney does have the Facts of Life connection with Mindy
I want to smurf your smurf so smurfing much. I'm going to smurf all over your smurfs

If possible, some pictures would be awesome. It's likely as close to seeing one as most of us will ever get
Very nice pistol
It's just a metal ring and red lock tight. I have one in my gun and works decently well as a plinker.
That's the after market fix

That was my thought as well. With that much pitting it would not be unusual for someone to try to bring some of it down
A10 warthog
Are they being sold off as surplus already?

But who's the guy drinking them that quickly?
And much too relevant.
Yep
I was probably a fledgling black bird shedding its whiteness
