I bought some VIT a month or two ago and now Iām down nearly 50%, itās P/E is now 6.75 and when I looked into its financials it all looked really good. Good growth year on year and whatnot. Wondering if anyone else bought VIT and if itās worth buying more?
Infighting BOD bullshit, in my opinion the Jansen family really bent over shareholders but acting like a kid who didn't want to share toys after some "serious misconduct" however Rodney and Guy have reacted poorly after this and now the whole platform the business is built on (canview) may be dragged out from underneath
I agree. In my opinion I would say āgreen libertarianismā is true libertarianism as oil and gas companies are indirectly violating the NAP of the people by polluting the environment with carbon emissions. So state involvement through a carbon tax or subsidies for renewables and nuclear energy or at the least stopping the subsidies of oil and gas companies is a good idea.
Can someone explain why a libertarian would want a centralized government and not a federalist system. I personally think centralizing governance is the reason we have many of our problem.
A weak centralised government- much weaker than the one we have today to impose libertarian laws for all. If it was managed at the state level or if there wasnāt a state it would be much harder to assert those values nationwide
Ain't that the truth. The key issue for you and me ( š) is less that our politicians are corrupt and evil (well, they are, but not quite as bad as the US), and more that it's just not culturally normal in Australian to care about politics.
Yeah Iād certainly agree with what you just said - the Labor and Liberal parties are so extremely incompetent when it comes to managing money to such a great extent that I would consider going fuck it and voting for the greens just so we can maybe have legal weed
No - that would only be if the person was actually a libertarian in the first place which they wouldnāt be if they believe the state should have control over what an individual does to their own body, āPro-Lifeā is inherently incongruous with Libertarian values.
For the record, I supportās womenās right to choose and stand rather on the pro choice side. Yet, I can see why this issue is tougher than it looks from a libertarian perspective. Iāll also add that it is both very libertarian (as they self-identified libertarians love to do) to claim others arenāt, but in theory doing so is ultimately anti-libertarian.
What if whatever that pleases me to do with my body is grab a gun and shoot in a certain direction, and someone is exactly in the way, and ends up dying? Didnāt I break the nap there even though I wasnāt stopped from doing whatever I wanted with my body?
In that I mean modifications of their own body from its natural state in any way by their own right. Of course I donāt believe this should extend to minors.
Honestly probably a 3 or a 4 but thatās just my opinion

I've never seen the "No true Scotsman" logical fallacy expressed so explicitly.

Abortion is still an important issue. No true libertarian would be ever against abortion if they are they are just a veiled republican/conservative.

It's against the NAP to disallow an individual to do whatever they please with their body.
