Okay that is good information, thank you. The soil has been limed in prior years to plant clover, corn, or soybeans , in the same soil where these trees will go. I’m hoping that has helped with the soil levels, but i might have to pursue a test as well.

Like I said really just depends on your goals. You could set them and forget them . But they will have delayed growth if bugs and fungus smash them every year . You can just do neem oil or something and do every other month in a spray bottle . But no it’s not necessary at all but will help ensure they grow big and healthy

Most of us don’t hunt hard enough to justify the weight of kifaru . If you are out for weeks yearly and packing huge loads over long distances there is no better pack than kifaru . Both of these will serve 90% of us perfectly . Kifaru did just drop a light weight pack and frame however - if you want to support a company that is US made !

I don’t know if anyone is making a shouldered prefit that you can just spin on and be properly headspaced, but the barrel nut system (like from Preferred) is pretty simple. Taking the old one off may be the hardest part but with a barrel vise shouldn’t be too bad. After that, there are a ton of YouTube videos on installed barrels with a barrel nut. Go/no-go gauge, torque wrench, same barrel vise, that’s it.

Yeah this is what I’m wondering I love my smith but I’d also be happy to be able to change a barrel in 1 day and save the cash

From what I read PRS, NRL22, and NRL22x seem about the same. All I know is PRS tho

PRs you will have targets clearly defined . While nrl typically you have some level of unknown , may be distance or have to find targets . All are similar

All nrl 22 matches will have target locations and distances listed.
