  1. Our pitching has been somewhat overachieving so far. Last season our pitching was worse, but also vastly underperformed.

  2. The best pitchers always start out as starters. They're more valuable in that role.

  3. Nasty stuff but is this even sustainable?

  4. Maybe if he stays in a closer role. Last year as a starter they had to shut him down for elbow soreness. Somehow didn't need TJ though.

  5. One of the most dominant closing innings I've seen in a long time, and the most impressive part is who it was against.

  6. He has way too much club control left. He's costing the A's nothing for at least a couple more seasons. And don't you know? The A's are going to start spending money before they move to Vegas. Our trustworthy owner said so!

  7. I’m still finishing my weeding after that much rainfall.

  8. Does one ever finish weeding? I swear they grow back like 2 days later in my yard with this rain still flipping on and off.

  9. Oakland Coliseum was totally fine before Mount Davis and especially before ownership let it and the team rot

  10. The Coliseum could have easily gone the way of Dodger Stadium by keeping the retro feel but upgrading all the cosmetics. But instead we got a concrete monstrosity in center field and everything else was left to rot.

  11. Chris gets a little too hype for like a lead off single but still definitely better than Cavnar

  12. Agreed. That's his only thing that I can nitpick. Otherwise he's unbelievable for being so young. I'm sure he'll hone his tone and excitement with time.

  13. Mine got a bit wonky but since they'll grow several trunks you can typically prune them into a more uniform shape. I had one where I had to stake it as well.

  14. Haha when have they ever held onto anyone..

  15. There's no point dumping players until they hit arbitration because that's when they actually start making more money. He's not arb eligible until 2026.

  16. I’m glad the A’s front office is back to cooking

  17. What's weird is it really seems like we should be way better off than we are. Basically all of the top players we got from trading Olson, Chapman, and Murphy have been duds.

  18. Interesting interview. The TLDR notes are Roeben believes Hard Rock in Sacramento will help with a stadium if when Vegas falls apart. For those not in the Sacramento area, Hard Rock is nearly 45 minutes north of Sutter Health Park.

  19. I highly doubt they'd put the stadium on the casino land. It's way more likely they'd just buy land in downtown Sac.

  20. how is the Edwards Poster not in the top 5?

  21. WHY buy sports teams and then do absolutely nothing with them? What joy is there in that? I know it’s all about money but holy fuck there are other ways. These pro sports leagues are a joke for letting dumbfucks like this buy teams. In the long run, it’s going to be bad for the game and I think we are already seeing that..

  22. Chris Caray of the Caray announcing family

  23. It's kind of unbelievable he's in his mid twenties. He sounds like a polished professional already.

  24. With Monk out, Warriors can focus solely on locking down Fox. And Draymond will be doing Draymond things to Sabonis all night. Have to go Warriors on this one.

  25. It's kind of unbelievable he's in his mid 20's. I guess that broadcasting gene runs strong!

  26. But then fast-forward to the part where we get absolutely bodied in the playoffs.

  27. Angels fan here, Mason Miller is a stud!! What a closer!

  28. Dude's a dawg. That post strikeout strut is way too cool for a team like ours.

  29. He seems to be on the path to a DFA. Especially once Rooker is healthy again. Our outfield/DH is getting crowded.
