It's not that they NEED to be better written, it's that the story would be so much better if they were written as if they were actual people with feelings and desires and conflicts. Sure they CAN be 1 dimensional, that's demonstrated by the fact that they currently are that way. But the story wouldn't be made any worse if the villains were better written, and would actually be a lot better
I almost don't mind the one-deminsional aspects of the "sub bosses" I think it kind of reinforces just how detached from humanity they are. After that long away from the social structure of the world and with a large group of like-minded narcissists. I'd imagine you'd be come incredibly apathetic, selfish and close minded (as we see) and I think Tilda's (unhealthy) love of Elisabet kept her actual human feelings somehow alive.
Maybe if you split enough times you’ll split into a natural cellular level and become a whole person. (My mind has been destroyed by drugs, delusions, and social ostracism.) 🤠
Age ratings exist for a reason, but the reality is there's always going to be those parents who think TV is an adequate substitute for parenting...or that cartoons are always for kids.

It's control and the lack of desire to do any self-discovery. It's easy to follow the masses, doing self work to figure out how YOU look at the world and its creation and purpose is time-consuming and involved. A lot of folks DON'T WANT to think for themselves. Years of independent thinking leading to persecution has 100% ingrained into our brains that thinking for yourself is a risky thing to do. I'm THANKFUL to live in a world where I can see you beautiful like-minded people exist because I don't get to see much of this in the southeast USA. I'm THANKFUL that there are platforms where we can easily challenge each others beliefs in a (hopefully) constructive way, or at least spread a message of independence and acceptance of others. I love you all so much ❤️
