  1. Nonsense. Get the 6 year old Nvidia Shield Pro for $200.

  2. My shield tubes sucked. So slow so often and unreliable enough that I replaced them with the (also shitty) ccwgtv 4k. Ah the price we pay for this OS for some reason

  3. I saw one of these the other day, badges blocked and everything

  4. why would you need cat6a cable for the door bell?

  5. Yep, cat5 even would have worked. Pretty sure this only connects at 10/100

  6. I had the ks8000 before upgrading to the s90c, and while the 8000 gradually became so slow that tizen was borderline unusable, I suspect that would be the case with any smart TV os. Don't get the hate for tizen.

  7. Bought a 77” S90C with 5 year GS warranty for $1900 out the door. I would never buy a Samsung product from Samsung.

  8. I can't believe how simple this is. Interested to see what social media content creators do with this.

  9. You guys like those pdu's? Been wanting to try one

  10. cries in bmw wanting 2k for a new windshield and 2k for labor. im just worried safelite gonna fuck it up

  11. No glass policy on your insurance? Or would it be cheap to add it? (Ie less than $4k)

  12. Getting a new windscreen felt sooo good on my ~18year old car. Unfortunately it’s French, and I’m in the UK, so the windscreen wipers are on the wrong side, so I can still barely see again.

  13. Getting a wireless unit actually solved all of my USB connection issues. Also maybe less wear on my USB C connector?

  14. Dude just be glad you have snow, Midwest and east coast have been nothing but 40s-50s and rain so far

  15. Just cancelled my trip to boyne for this reason

  16. I'm 5'7" tall and weigh well under 200lbs and I ride a Burton Supermodel 181. All my boards are 160cm and above. You'll be just fine

  17. Haha good to know. I think I'm looking to be in the 160-165 range. But then I'm like should I just get this head board which is so close to that. I suppose it would be better if it were firmer

  18. It'll get there. Jan/Feb is always the worst. I've been here a while and it really does feel like climate change is happening in front of our eyes. I remember getting snow in Nov and Dec a lot in the past but not recently. Shit, I remember snowy Halloweens in the past.

  19. While I don't disagree and miss the snow a great deal, in all fairness we have had 2 snow days this year. One being this Halloween. It does seem like our winters are particularly mild these days...I just want snow

  20. Hahah great point and fair callout. I forgot it snowed on Halloween this year. I guess it didn't even register in my mind. When I made the comment, I was thinking along the lines of proper shitty weather thats freezing or boatloads of snow (which I love)

  21. Totally agree. It was melted so soon, so it hardly counts for me either. I love the snow, its the only thing that makes winter bearable. Rain and grey is awful

  22. On top of subscriptions, they want the user data for themselves.

  23. Mine stopped working so I pulled out the wifi card and still nothing. I don't see a fuse on gen 2.

  24. If you have a multimeter see if you have power coming out of the power supply board. If it doesn't you can try to trace down the issue or just take it to an electronics repair guy

  25. That’s pretty cool! I mess with Home Assistant but would love to see what C4 can do.

  26. I have tons of experience with both. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer

  27. How do the two compare. Obviously one is open source and the other is usually dealer implemented. But any other pros/cons between the two?

  28. C4 is mostly for AV and is actually much easier to config. Hassio has come a long way but you're still building much of what you need from scratch and learning what needs to happen for what you want. In C4 it's all GUI and there's pretty much only one way to do anything so its easy to figure out what you need to do. C4 has an app that's all already built, Hassio you need to build your interface.

  29. I decided to open the thing up and remove the wifi card and it's now coming on over ethernet.

  30. Check all the connections in there, the speaker wire leads are easy to tweak

  31. No. Since even one pedal driving. Slowing you down you don’t use brakes. They are used in low speed.

  32. Yes but in some situations while regen it'll use the brake lights

  33. It’s definitely probably from one pedal driving, but it seems like many EV drivers don’t have a solid grasp of that sensitive foot part. I’ve been noticing an insane amount of Teslas lately who cannot maintain a consistent speed on the highway. They’ll be constantly randomly braking when there’s absolutely nothing in front of them, really irritating when I’m maintaining distance with cruise control.

  34. This brings up a good point. In gasoline cars on the highway oftentimes you'll Coast freely with no brakes or accelerator. In an electric car this isn't really doable because as soon as you try to coast with no pedals it applies regen and slows you down

  35. I love pulling the cab. I make money on the 3.5 and the 5.0 engine jobs, I like them haha

  36. Right. Everyone on here bitching like they're doing it for free

  37. Yeah after taking a look at this again. I realized my issue. I have WPA2 and WPA3. 6e only supports WPA3. Therefore, a work around like having its own network is one way to get around that limitation, the alternative is moving WPA2 devices over to their own network with WPA2.

  38. Wait, really?? So none of my u6e deployments are using 6ghz unless I have a separate wpa3 network?

  39. It depends. If this is a car you want to actually rely on, this probably isn't a good move. If it's inevitably going to be a shitbox car then who cares, it'll run.

  40. It runs on my pi4 as an add on through Home Assistant. If you ever think you might get into home automation this is a great time. Also, USG routers can usually be found for $50 if you look locally. Just make sure to get a new 12v power cord.

  41. When I was running my setup off a raspberry pi I installed it and my konnected in my old alarm panel box. I then used my alarm battery (brand new at the time) and a battery charge controller. Then I have a 12v to USB C converter for both the raspberry pi and konnected. Finally I got a charge controller that was able to handle the combined load of the devices and that was that, super cheap and easy UPS!
