We don't. Stabbing them in the head is a newer trend to make cooks and customers feel better about it. Lobsters don't have brains. They have tiny nerve clusters that make it behave more like an insect. So even stabbing it, there's a good chance you missed entirely, and even if you hit that nerve cluster, it still responds in other nerves.
Stabbing them isn't a new trend. I have a cooking book from the end of the 19th century that describes how to kill them with a knife before butchering them and grilling them over fire.
If I specifically have to play non lethal throughout the entire game I’m just not going to play it. If I can’t get the combat down I’m just going to abandon the game.
The game requires you to train to become better. This isn't Witcher 3. It's more like Shenmue where no matter how good you are as a player, your in-game character is still bad unless you train.
I started a hardcore run about a year ago so that I could fully embrace the immersion of no UI and such and it was going great until literally that happened. I hadn't realized that I'd gone about 3 hours without drinking a schnapps and I got ambushed by a peasant mob.... I immediately just uninstalled the game for my own sanity lol
After the announcement, I started a new hardcore playthrough. After spending multiple hours getting myself immersed in Skalitz and Talmberg, going around admiring the recreation of medieval life, talking with everyone, I got beat up by Zbyshek and realized that in hardcore mode, there is not a single autosave for the entire duration of the prologue. The game doesn't even save when you sleep at Talmberg.
I love the mechanic, I don't get the widespread hate to be honest. But you're right, it does require the game to be very stable. They did say that the stability is better this time around but how much better remains to be seen.
The issue is the lack of auto saves. I think most people don't mind the Ironman feel and not being able to save scum, but no one wants to lose multiple hours of gameplay.
Personally, I'd be happy with simply having an autosave slot that you can't manually reload to, but if you die you go back there, and keep everything else the same.
Dunno what to say. Most of what i see on different Steam games are "we are pro trans, pro gay, why is everybody homophobic ,please add more diversity, LGBQ+" etc etc. Fucking christ lol. you can t have freedom of speech anymore and can t have opinions because you get banned. And of course the usual comments. I remember on Land of Vikings game, one guy made a thread on it accusing the devs for not including gay ppl and blacks. Can confirm with pictures...
They're trolls. Yes, there have been people genuinely attacking the first game for not having diversity, however those people aren't spamming threads on the Steam forums. Those are just bait.
Wow, people here really love stealing. Personally, I've always preferred to stay on the legal side, plus it seems like the game economy was balanced for not stealing and looting everything you see. Considering the picture you posted, you already know what good Christians think of looting corpses. I'm also convinced that there's a hidden karma stat where the more crime you commit, even if not caught, results in guards being suspicious of you and mistreating you. I think I read an in-game tip mentioning that as well.
Presets that you can change at a locker would be great. Given that the lockers are small, you could have for example a complete space walk suit in a locker, and when you interact with it it swaps your current clothes. Pick up a weapon from a gun rack and you're good to go.

They say they will tone it down a bit so will be interesting to see how they do it.
