Interesting. In the Bay Area (and the Western US in general) there are many freeways that are up to interstate design standards but are state or US highways and not interstates (e.g. US-101, CA-4 or CA-14, etc)
I think you should get a hotel in SF but I also think it's worth visiting Oakland if you've never been, to say that you saw Oakland and got a feel for the place instead of just seeing a baseball game there.
If you have unlimited money I guess. But if you aren't a billionaire I don't know why you want to throw away 200K-400K a year. Renting is more expensive than owning - usually poor people are stuck doing it.
yes I wonder why nobody else would celebrate when the most stacked team that outspent everyone else by practically an order of magnitude enjoys success
Especially for stuff like school board elections where their (probably US citizen) children are required to attend the school and are obviously affected by the decisions of the school board. It's completely reasonable that their guardian should be able to serve as their advocate in the elections that decide how the school district is administered.
I use dried pasta when cooking for me and my family. I go get fresh pasta if I'm cooking for guests, or if we're celebrating some kind of special occasion.
Oracle is easy top 4, no one can be blamed for putting Oracle #1. maybe it's hard to drive too and even by baseball standards concessions are a high there, but man is it a gorgeous place to catch a ball game.
Hi there! Would you mind telling me what’s the easier way to get up there? A few months back, I asked a bunch of workers in the area and they couldn’t give me accurate directions, so I ended up leaving. Thanks in advance!
Ground coffee. Home grinders can never get fine enough, and it's a lot of work to clean a coffee grinder every day.
My home grinder has no issue getting my coffee to the right grind size...
Pizza rat, probably. Maybe Jon Stewart.
Pizza rat was a hoax
stares confusedly in San Franciscan
there is still another baseball team in the bay area
This is the first Giant's game I've watched all year. How's the pen?
4th highest bullpen ERA in the NL so far (4.95)
Anyone else think Jordan Hicks looks a lot like former Warrior Jordan Poole? I see it every time he starts.
yes
A freeway is a limited access divided highway. A highway is any road, with lines, that you can go decent speeds at.
Do you not have limited access divided highways that aren't part of the interstate system?
Not that I can think of. We'll have divided highways, but they'll have intersections, not entrance/exit ramps.

SFMTA-painted curbs say "SFMTA" not "DPT"
Aren't the DPT red curbs like 15+ years old at this point? Looks way too fresh.
DPT and Muni were merged to form SFMTA in 1999.

Hmm. I always thought it was more. That's like a so-so place in Boston suburbs. I didn't realize it was so cheap there.
Median rent is $2,700 a month
Sure, but there are just a few marvelous ones: DC Union, Chicago Union, Philadelphia 30th, Grand Central, and LA Union.
San Francisco doesn't even have an Amtrak station at all

As a transplant from the East Coast, there’s two seasons here.
which one is August
there's just something so cringe about how people on reddit will use meme vernacular to discuss very serious and heavy things
Its probably just children.
I'd be surprised if children were making the "game...blouses" joke considering that episode aired 20 years ago
I don't think that's controversial. It's just common sense.

That San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose were so close to each other.
San Francisco and Oakland pretty much are

Go into any entrance to the transit center and use the first elevator or escalator you see to go all the way up.
