I got one at a collectibles show a couple months ago, and while I did trade an alt art Espeon VMax to get it, the regret of not getting the best value isn't outweighed by the love of having this Umbreon V alt instead. We'll see how I feel about that card by the next major show in June, but it's better imo to collect what I love instead of purely relying on value down the line.

The only part that was creating doubt for me was the left border looks slightly less "thick" than the right. But my friend said that's normal with pokemon these days.
That’s called centering amigo. Usually the most obvious factor in what grade a modern card could get. Quality control still isn’t the best at Pokemon, seems like most of my big pulls have some centering issues still.
How’s the holo on the Japanese vs English though? Haven’t had a chance to compare them in person, but the English holo looks a lot cooler than Japanese in pics. I’m in this shit for the holo after all
If your going for "holo" English. Japanese holo isn't as prominent but it has a graveyard with tombstones in the the background which trumps the shiny English version.

Japanese vintage is miles cheaper than English for a reason. One of which is that rares were more common
