  1. Posting this from my laptop. End of an era. Something like 12 years for me I think. So long, and thanks for everything. To Reddit itself, good riddance.

  2. FFXI. Almost every spare moment in high school. After 2 or 3 years of college and not playing at all, I gave away everything. I have very fond memories and the music still gives me chills.

  3. I'm a psychologist and I had no idea about this. Thai makes me feel so much better because there is a 2-year period in the middle of my 20s where I have almost no memories and I've always been worried why this happened to me. Not coincidentally, I was depressed and suicidal that entire time.

  4. What a shitty boss knowingly hiring your childhood bully.

  5. Imagine losing games in the NFL. Must be tough to be a fan of any team who does such things

  6. Hoping we are both 11-0 when we meet. That would make for an awesome matchup. Also, no accurate flair available for me. If I could just do Cowboys with an X on it, I could live with that.

  7. Looks awesome! What do Baphomet's arm tats say? SOLVE COARULA?

  8. Tallest woman ever is listed as Sandra Allen at 7'7". I wonder why this one couldn't be verified.

  9. I'd see what his platform is and who he's running against and what their platforms are and give him a vote in the primary if his policies are better than the other candidates

  10. Well, he vetoed kindergarten for all and protecting trans kids, so I'm guessing his chances are very good as yet another milquetoast liberal.

  11. I don't think anyone would buy a car just to fit their Costco purchases. They have one out of necessity already.

  12. With how big it is, it would be cheaper to do a cover-up. Removal requires multiple visits, insurance (quite a few removal stories ive seen claim that their insurance won't pay for a tattoo removal and they end up having to pay out of pocket for everything) co-pays, all of which are expensive and take longer.

  13. Unless you have it converted to a Nazi tattoo first. Lots of tattoo removal places will remove those for free.

  14. NTA. Make an Amazon wish list or something similar with all 30 dresses and send it to her. If she can only afford 1 per week, fine, but I wouldn't accept anything slower than that.

  15. I forget the name for the effect but 99% of orders go off without a hitch. The people involved in those don't feel compelled to go online and talk about them because there's nothing to talk about. What you're seeing in this sub and really anywhere online is the outliers that are weird/notable/terrible enough that someone felt compelled to take the time out of their day to write about them. It's why the driver subs are such miserable places most of the time. Drivers who are doing fine don't really need to talk about it. The overwhelming majority of posts in there are by people who are upset/desperate/angry enough to take the time to say something. Obviously some people just like to discuss things and get a conversation going, but the average human being doesn't feel the need to say something when their needs are being met (which is a fascinating psychological phenomenon; it comes up a lot in relationships when someone feels underappreciated or unnoticed).

  16. I've had issues with like half my orders but have never complained on here. It's shit.

  17. You're expecting the average Right WIng troll to care about spreading misinformation.

  18. We buckled it every time without fail, thousands of times.

  19. On the east coast of the US the train conductors will be like “alright next stop is abgbtbrbrbrba” without fail. Can’t understand a word

  21. Meanwhile my elementary school with fewer than 400 students gets a delivery of 300,000 sheets of paper every year. And that's only the plain white stuff.

  22. Sounds like ADHD. If he's willing to get evaluated it might be a good idea. Going all in on a new hobby only to get bored with it weeks or months later is pretty textbook for us.

  23. For what it's worth, I'm a psychologist with ADHD and I was thinking the same thing. Not an armchair diagnosis obviously, but worth looking into.

  24. Teacher proceeds to tell the parents anyways

  25. This is absolutely not what happens at any school I've ever worked at.

  26. Nah I think school districts actually look for this, the stupider the better

  27. Watching a little too much Joe Rogan, my dude.

  28. When someone shows you who they really are, believe them. I'm sorry.

  29. Let me put on this coat that looks exactly the same color as a road and cross the busiest intersection I can find at a snails pace.

  30. This comment brought to you by GM™.

  31. She's a neapolatin ice cream of flavors, but she usually get mistaken for a pit bull. As far as I remember she's mixed with a staffordshire bull terrier, boxer, and Irish settler

  32. Lol, is that what they told you? That's a pitbull. (Also, Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a type of pitbull.)

  33. Your understanding of the holes is incorrect. If the waveform is larger than the hole, it might as well be solid because it will isolate 100% of the signal.

  34. Yup, the holes are to save material and make it lighter. They could make the holes significantly bigger in theory, but choose to play it safe.

  35. The holes are there so you can see inside the oven, not to cheap out on material. The rest of the oven is made from solid metal sheets, which are probably cheaper than perforated sheets since they require less manufacturing steps.

  36. Source on that? In modern day loans in the US secured by property with applicable government registration of ownership, the bank is the legal owner is granted a lien on the property and retains the title or deed until paid in full.

  37. Maybe that happened because of this.
