  1. Now that I think about it, that's probably exactly what happened. He fucked himself over even further by not hiring more people after everyone else left. My overtime was RIDICULOUS for that time.

  2. $700 for 78 hours per week?? You should have registered as a charity at those rates you were subsidizing his business. Insane.

  3. I feel like it's only a matter of time before people start taking matters into their own hands relating to stuff like this

  4. We have plenty of laws in place to make sure anyone who takes matters into their own hands is punished much harder than the person who attacked them. So it's all handled /s

  5. Why would there not be a GPS locating device on the thing??!

  6. How exactly do you expect a satellite in space to send (and receive) a signal 4000m underwater?

  7. I quit Winn Dixie years ago after they promoted me to manager and for months, kept saying my paychecks would "reflect the increase soon." Eventually, during a visit from the district manager, he BLED out of me what was wrong (guy was a damn mind reader) and apparently chewed out the GM over it. By the next day, him and another manager started screaming at me about being an "ignorant child" on the sales floor over it. All I responded with was, "providing negative feedback to an employee is a closed-door situation and does not belong in front of customers or other staff." My lack of emotional response really pissed them off, so I quit, as they kept it up. Called corporate, nothing happened. My stupid 26 year old self really should have contacted an attorney, but I didn't know any better.

  8. It shouldn't take long to check your state court website for the labor laws and search for statute of limitations. There might be no limit on it, and (at least where I live) there's no cost to file employment claims with the government for situations like this. So no harm in trying I'd say.

  9. All you idiots keep saying it’s a supply issue !! It’s not a supply issue !!! Even if we had a million houses on the market ,, investors / equity firms will scoop them up ! And inflation / houses prices will not change and the same people will still be without a home ! Stop pumping your own agenda and try to think realistically

  10. Sorry to hear that you failed Economics 101. There might be some online courses available if you have time available to catch up.

  11. I bought a car from a place like that a couple years ago (Toyota dealership). All pricing was up front, no hidden fees, no gotchas, they even automatically knocked $5k off of MSRP because the car had been sitting on the lot for over 6 months. I didn't even have to ask for it, the salesman just said "oh by the way it's actually $5k cheaper than it says online because it's been here a while".

  12. If we do name and shame I think it's only fair to promote the good ones too. Where was this dealership? Sounds awesome.

  13. That counts as a change. So (at least for my booking) it would be $100 per person to chabge the booking regardless of the reason.

  14. Showed this to my partner her response was just like you in bed a lot of build up for not much and a quick end lmao.

  15. Imagine if we followed Singapore's approach and created more land by land reclamation off the west coast of Richmond and Delta. I'm sure the environmentalists won't let this happen

  16. That ground is like sand. Build on that and you'd better include floaties. It's not exactly a wise move.

  17. I got two new tires this week. This one is definitely not a new tire. You're being scammed.

  18. It is the fridge switch. I've only ever seen it on models that have the built-in fridge.

  19. Is it used fifth wheel grease? If so probably loaded with metal shavings too I wouldn't want to be sleeping in that even after thorough washing. I'd trash it personally.

  20. https://ww2.arb.ca.gov/sites/default/files/2022-09/ComplianceOverview.pdf

  21. Can you just pick up the trailer and move bit by bit with a forklift ?

  22. A flat deck in some cases yes you can do this. A (presumably) full reefer trailer? No. Among other reasons, It would require a massive forklift not likely to be found at a shipper.

  23. Yeah, sharks aren't just following boats around instantly pouncing on whatever falls in the water.

  24. Boats discharge their compost (and plenty more) into the water as they're moving. If they happened to be dumping the buffet leftovers I'd bet there were plenty of hungry fish following the boat.

  25. You could have a wait list of new patients before you even set foot in BC.

  26. This is years of pent up frustration in text form. An entertaining read.

  27. Partnering can end up way, way, way more expensive. Only partner with someone who has a better career than you.

  28. Common Law is a thing many people don't seem to fully grasp. Can get very expensive once you cross that threshold if you change your mind.

  29. Are they using day passes still/again? Or is it a free for all?

  30. It’s free as of now. We will be required to get a pass from July/August. Always make sure to check the BC Parks’s website before.

  31. Ah. Then I'm not exactly surprised. With the passes it was much more peaceful with much shorter lines. I'll definitely be checking the website before heading out there won't be anytime soon though.

  32. Nothing short of impressive. Wow.

  33. Unless you specifically pay for special handling you're not getting special handling. Slapping a sign or a sticker on there doesn't mean anything during the shipping process. People trying to get free special handling are funny.

  34. No package should show up in this condition, fragile or not. Stop bootlicking delivery companies, the service they offer is pathetically poor for the expectations of the public.

  35. Innocent question:. If one were to drag this car out of the water within say an hour of this happening, get the water out of the engine, and dry the interior out, would it be okay?

  36. If it's fresh water (like a lake) it can be salvaged but will require a thorough teardown, detail, and replacement of a significant number of items. Expensive is an understatement.

  37. And don't forget that wood is often covered in layers of lacquer.

  38. I’m about to be reverting to that for a bit due to a divorce. But as long as my two dogs are with me and have their beds and blankies too, I expect no less than to get myself back on my feet within 8-10 months. I was there at 26 and I don’t plan on staying here long at 40.

  39. 👊 You got this man. Brighter days ahead.

  40. I was in Israel and we were biking through the desert and we just grabbed the back of a truck and let it pull us, looking back that is super stupid but it was so much faster

  41. For anyone considering this it's good to know that bike parts generally aren't rated for such high speeds. So while it can work, you can also destroy a bearing or other components pretty quickly and end up in a pretty nasty crash.
