  1. I have the same. so I have the 6390RDS for M&P, which required modifying the area around the port slightly with a heat gun. (not hard to do)

  2. I'll look into that. I'm assuming the part number is for Safariland. Thanks man!

  3. I know this is old but thought I would chime in... first - grip "feel" is of course subjective so everyone will have their own opinion... ultimately which grip module someone likes is like choosing which beer you like lol. If you like it, you like it.

  4. Im not sure getting the shoe only is an option in the metal frame models due to the geometry and tolerances... Apex is local to me and they told me all about the tolerances. I put in the kit and it's NICE.

  5. I'm using Safariland 6390RDS with my Spec that didn't require any modifications

  6. Apex. Metal frame is worth it imo, spec series is a pretty good deal.

  7. Just sayin… go grab an apex!! 🤙🏼🤙🏼

  8. Compared to stock triggers I have experience with, it has a pretty short take up, very crisp break, and good reset

  9. The new m&p and shield triggers feel great. Is it really worth the extra expense? To each his own 🤷🏿‍♂️. I will say it's worth it for the old hinged triggers.

  10. With the 2.0 trigger, the apex is not as much of an upgrade. But the apex is still much nicer imo. If it will never be used in competition i.e. shield, i would leave it stock. But if competitive or enthusiast it’s worth it.

  11. Looks like compensation for a little more weight than is currently possible to do efficiently. It’s normal to get after it as much as possible, but I might focus on working at slightly lower lb which will still be effective and you can perform the best technical execution possible.

  12. Any sharps love on here? My first was kak but sharps is my main now

  13. Vortex spark solar is solid, holosun excellent also

  14. It’s difficult without a really good set of flat face pliers like knipex… honestly I wouldn’t risk it.

  15. I also work outside (AZ) in all kinds of terrain, hillsides, rock features etc. and use my boots very hard. I have been through different brands and types but if budget is no option I would recommend Solomon or arcteryx. I also really like Altra lone peak (probably my favorite fitting boot) but they are waterproof so pretty hot in the summer out here. Lowes are great boots but I just personally dont prefer them, I also had a few pairs of keens that I enjoyed... but I would not choose them again over the other options.

  16. Just got the spec and have been looking for this exact solution, thanks for the info!

  17. Spec is so solid btw. I also dropped the metal frame apex trigger and it's NICE. I did have to work through some malfunction issues with the trigger, but apex has solid customer service and fixed it up.

  18. No but I got a really good price from a reputable shop that specializes mainly in off road/overland builds. I purchased the lift kit and springs myself, I think they charged me less than 1k for install.

  19. I went with the mopar 2” lift (fox shocks) and was able to put 35” tires on without new wheels. All I did was add off road package front springs to remove any rake. not expensive at all.

  20. Cordura version is more rigid and doesn't fold in to itself when holding something heavy like ripstop does. My belt's not at home rn 🫠

  21. I would like to upgrade my dump to make more room on the belt. Currently a pretty bulky cordura roll up. leaning toward defense mechanisms.

  22. I’ve heard arguments for the ripstoo nylon being that if u get it caught up something u can rip through it as opposed to the cordura, but that’s a pretty niche CQB perspective. Like I said I hardly use on so I wanted it as small as possible and I think the nylon rolls up smaller

  23. Same. Something that is light and saves belt space for competition/range days. I haven't done a ton of research on this, but if there was a cordura version that could mount under a mag pouch that would be great.

  24. I am partial to Safariland (6390RDS) which I run with my Spec, however it does require some simple modifications if you are adding a compensator. (see video below from sage dynamics)
