  1. I love my dad and he loves the Raiders. I hopped on fully during the JaMarcus Russell era but what got me interested was nostalgia for their early 2000s team with Rich Gannon, Jerry Rice, Timmy Brown and Charlie Garner. Then that led to a rabbit hole of rich history, iconic moments and timeless uniforms. I became die hard when Carson Palmer took over at Quarterback and they became my team, no question.

  2. I watched the first few minutes of RLM talking about The Witch, which I had interest in, and immediately went out and bought a copy at Target. It was amazing, so when The Lighthouse came out I found the only theater in Indiana that was playing it and saw it. I loved it, then I saw The Northman in theaters and it’s gotten better with every viewing. Hoping Nosferatu and The Knight will be awesome. I’m always ready for the next Robert Eggers joint.

  3. There are recorded conversations between them in the Ken Burns Vietnam doc. They mostly talk about the protests against the war and how they believed that Hanoi and the communists had infiltrated the anti-war movement.

  4. Rocky II. It’s fun to see Rocky with money (for a bit) but the movie is a slog until the final fight. That final fight is so amazing that it made up for how boring and sad the story is (and not as engaging as the first Rocky’s story).

  5. A wizard race called Wunderkind and their human mortal cousins, the Mages, rule a feudal communistic society that weaponizes magic for war.

  6. Return to Aztlán, a foreign language film about the Aztecs that only exists as a bad quality YouTube video.

  7. That’ll be the first thing I do once I start on the next set.

  8. Hey, just want to put this out there to say thanks to everyone who liked and commented on my art. It's been rough going and the positive reception these have gotten really helped me get over some humps.

  9. I was just watching OTGW the other day and realized this would be peak in the Rankin-Bass style. The Hobbit ‘77, Return of the King ‘80 and The Last Unicorn ‘82 are some of my favorite pieces of animation.

  10. Man, no need to roast OP, it can be their guilty pleasure, art is subjective. I’m still set on Kingdom being the weakest of the Indy films, but it shares some similarities with the flow of Temple. The opening is bonkers and wildly fun while the rest of the film pales in comparison. It’s definitely a fun homage to 50s B-movies but that’s kinda where we got off on the wrong foot bc it went away from its serial era feeling for a more campy story about Aliens. Plus they couldn’t choose between the Roswell aliens or the Ancient Mayan aliens, so they just did both. Mutt is an interesting choice (a foil for Dr. Jones), but underdeveloped. Karen Allen is fun to have back but she doesn’t really do much, most of the OG cast are dead canonically or not in the movie, like Sallah. Overall there’s some strong moments (mostly the opening) but the movie itself overstays its welcome and doesn’t capture the magic of the original trilogy by the end.

  11. The anime film Spriggan features the United States Machine Corps. as the main villains, and by extension the United States government. I always thought Americans made for great antagonists just because it breaks typecasting 😅

  12. I literally saw a post about it here on Reddit claiming it could be the next GOT so I bypassed all my opinions about LOL and just watched it. I was a bit underwhelmed by the first few episodes because I thought they were derivative of other media but grew to love the characters, the world building and the art style which is the main centerpiece. I’ve watched Season 1 three times now it’s basically a comfort show at this point.

  13. Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed and Dracula AD 1972. FMBD’s biggest flaw is THAT scene between the Doctor and Anna (which both actors regret doing and even cried together about it) but the film is overall really good excluding that aspect. AD 1972 is just groovy bro, it’s perfect.

  14. God of War style monster Hunter game where you play as Van Helsing and slay the Universal Monster pantheon

  15. So who won? The Americans or the Russians? God, this is confusing.

  16. Understandable that this is a confusing set of events. Sorry about that. The Rebels were led by Prince Humehume, the eldest son of Kaumuali’i I, and won back the Hawaiian islands (after the Russians left and the Kamehameha II died at sea).

  17. What if the Schaffer Affair had sparked the Hawaiian Revolution?
