  1. Serving/waitressing can make great cash with no schooling. I work at a family chain restaurant and between my wage and tips I often make about $30-40 an hour. That being said my wage is regular minimum wage in Canada and if you're in the USA that won't be the case and it probably wouldn't be worth it.

  2. And in some restaurants, the expected tips earned are calculated based on sales and reported to the government as wages. That means if someone does not tip, you still pay taxes. Wait staff also must tip out the supporting staff members like bussers and bartenders.

  3. Yeah, at my job we pay 4% of our net sales to the kitchen and 1% to bar.

  4. But in Canada the minumum wage is way higher. I can't speak for the whole country but it's $15/hr where I live. I'd say that's a pretty good wage without tips.

  5. You're right,I do make $15.50/h and I'm thankful for it, but it's def not a living wage in Canada & my shifts are also very short. Like 3-4 hours max and I will be cut early/sent home on days it's slow. Tips end up being super important to my income still, most people I work with have two jobs.

  6. I have "now my feet won't touch the ground" tattooed

  7. Wait?! Wtf where?! I love chewing things but didn't know they made human chew toys

  8. They're stim toys for neurodivergent adults who like to chew! You can probably find a lot of websites for them, if you search "chewelry" you can probably find some.

  9. I loved this whole exchange, as a vulva owner I gotta agree with you

  10. I have very similar book interests to yours. I will say {{Red Rising}} is the closest I have found that is not slow and overloaded with details but still has amazing characters. This is my favorite series of all time, even above HP, Divergent, and Hunger Games. Age range would be around hunger games plus a tad

  11. Isntree Hylauronic Acid Watery Sun Gel. I thought my US sunscreens felt like nothing until I tried this. Nothing else compares.

  12. Came here to say this. Feels like moisturizer.

  13. Isnttree watery sun gel! Doesn’t have white cast and doesn’t burn my eyes it’s 👩‍🍳💋

  14. This one is the best. I love it so much, feels like I'm putting on moisturizer

  15. This entire exchange was hilarious, I definitely think they meant gyro omg

  16. And, honestly, there's no point in "competing" with other people when it comes to bad experiences, even when it's just in your own head, it's not a race and no one can win. We've all had a terrible time of it and what's needed now is treatement, compassion, understanding, both in the way people treat us and the way we treat ourselves.

  17. Oh absolutely. For me it's not really a competition (didn't mean to come off that way), it's more like that I wonder if any of the stuff I'm reading about actually applies to me. I'm experiencing abuse, but everything I read refers to childhood abuse and I'm like.. "damn I didn't experience this in childhood, I wonder if this even applies to me then". But yeah! I'm definitely working on self compassion. Thank you for the reply!

  18. Oh, by competition I meant you don't have to think any worse of yourself because other people have been subjected to this stuff at a younger age.

  19. Temps are high but the crashing has stopped, I also gave my pc a thorough cleaning and dusting, despite that not being the cause maybe 1 or 2 degrees was enough to help.

  20. Wait I'm very confused at how this relates to your eyes. Are you still seeing the weird spots? I've had them for like 4 days now and your post was the only thing that is describing what I'm experiencing.

  21. They went away with covid dissapearing, sorry I didn't realize what thread you replied in, lol.

  22. The skinning alive scene in The Wind Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami.

  23. This absolutely messed me up and pops up unwanted In my brain every so often. I actually feel ick right now just writing this.

  24. books don't usually scare me/gross me out very much but this was just way way way too much.

  25. It’s crazy how much time has passed 10+ years of Coldplay lol we were growing up with each release. AHFOD was my entire college years and I love it so much!!!

  26. I was 14 when I first heard Coldplay and feel in love with the release of Paradise back in 2011. I just turned 25!

  27. Same! except that I'd definitely heard Coldplay before then, I just didn't start listening on my own until MX was released and I fell in love with it. Will forever associate that album with my first few years of highschool

  28. Strawberry Swing, Life in Technicolor ii and Every Teardrop is a Waterfall

  29. In addition to some of the responses I've left in this thread, another common theme for me is that I find myself topless in a public place.

  30. Does anyone else notice you are topless? For years I had a dream I was completely naked in public but I was the only one who noticed. A friend who was in therapy said it indicated I often felt I was overlooked or left out.

  31. Oooh no I don't think so. I think it was just me, thats so interesting because I definitely do feel that way.

  32. Nothing beats the guitar solo in We Are All That We Are

  33. Sooooo not true. I've had 4 serious relationships with men and the 3/4 that knew absolutely didn't care I was autistic. I've also been intimate with a few more than that and they didn't care either.

  34. I don't know if any of these will be helpful, but here's some things you could try when you're out:

  35. Omg thank you for taking the time to do this :")

  36. Yes, this actually happened to me this past week! I spent a few days at my favorite Six Flags park (Great Adventure) with my favorite person, and all before during and after the trip I experienced different levels of burnouts and meltdowns. For me I make sure I have enough time off from work or any other responsibilities to recover.

  37. Yeah work is my biggest issue. I don't work yet but I'm nervous that once I start (will be looking for a job by next month) I'll start to struggle even more with burnout.

  38. I had the same thing, used to think I had no sensory issues, but now I'm much more aware of my sensory issues.

  39. This is also my experience and I'm only just now trying to become more aware of them.
