  1. I think it’s a requirement that they have to have a cleaning service there when someone moves out so they are gonna charge you regardless. I never understood why people spent days deep cleaning when it’s not ur job to

  2. It’s required that they check that everything is clean and in working order. They have to prove what cleaning was done in order to legally bill you, and you can take them to court for it if you documented your own cleaning. Know from experience and winning ;)

  3. PTLA is the worst!!! I was in your position last year with the same exact fear regarding getting my deposit back as ptla just screams we will keep your entire deposit no matter what because we suck so bad!!!!

  4. Good for you! One of my landlords tried to take our entire deposit plus an additional $1500 to replace all of the carpets in the house. Took them to small claims court and got my entire deposit and the judge laughed in the landlord’s face.

  5. Thanks for sharing! I've been meaning to do this hike but have never attempted anything longer than 7-8 miles. Based off reviews, it seems most day hikers often don't reach East Portal Peak. Do you know if it's just snow that's the barrier or does the terrain become a difficult scramble?

  6. I wouldn’t say it’s hard (the most elevation is def at the end though of course), but it’s a lot of sun exposure if you go on a warm day. Depends on your heat tolerance. There are some spots you have to navigate walking on big chunky rocks but nothing I’d claim to be difficult.

  7. I used to bartend at the snack bar at a golf course north of bellingham- Ryan Stiles was either a member there, or just came frequently as a guest. He was always extremely unfriendly when he came in, which was disappointing... I'm a big fan. I didn't ACT like a fan or let on that I recognize him- I treated him like anyone else I served and I'm not the starstruck type, plus I would never presume to bother a celebrity while they're just trying to live their life- but he was always either cold or outright rude. It bummed me out.

  8. All gossip, but fwiw, I had heard from an old coworker, who claimed to be friends with his daughter, that Ryan drank a loooot; not an excuse but could explain some anger stuff.

  9. yeah cause your average truck driver is pulling a load of produce.

  10. I make fun of the F150s in town driving just to commute around rather than actually using their truck for its purpose. They look so dumb and then take up so much space.

  11. Man when I was cycling/longboarding if I saw no bike lane and no sidewalk. My common sense told me to get out of the street and just fucking walk. It aint worth risking your life for a Reddit post to complain on. Just fucking walk it

  12. It’s totally legal to ride your bike in the road when there isn’t a bike lane. The infrastructure was built for independent vehicles, but it shouldn’t be that way. People can pass you like they would pass a slow car.

  13. Thank you all for your comments. I was at the stop sign at the end of the off-ramp and waited for a long line of cars to turn onto the on-ramp. A car behind me laid on the horn for me to go. I've questioned it ever since.

  14. Nah that one is confusing. And I don’t understand the “controlled intersection” comment, but what do I know I suppose. I’ve got about 50/50 answers on that one before. I would have assumed folks at the stop sign had right of way since they’d be merging with traffic that the middle (on ramp) lane has to yield to anyway.

  15. I'll yield TFN. It seems natural, even though we both take a left turn.

  16. TFN? And yeah that makes sense too. Ultimately our infrastructure sucks lmao

  17. I had luck with hammer properties they allow co signing and usually deal with college kids but tbh don’t know a whole lot about them

  18. That’s because you won’t get your deposit back, black mold will grow in your place, and they’ll try to come for you for more money. I successfully sued them. They and Landmark are the worst. Best of luck! Know your rights!

  19. Ok so I think I figured it out and I am a moron. I didn’t kickoff the quest by going up to the initial structure and pressing A to examine. Hopefully this helps some others… but I’m probably the only one haha I just went straight to the first lock

  20. Then I am also a moron haha thank you!

  21. My derm is the same!! What do you use for your sensitive skin? I've been breaking out here and there while using cerave and I was told I have rosacea so I thought that brand would help. I'm just breaking out instead

  22. I’m STILL figuring things out, and I swear, it’s like my skin will change so nothing stays consistent. It definitely needs different things for winter versus summer.

  23. I did use it while on Accutane and it was great but beyond that, makes me break out. Maybe it has to go with how the Accutane made my pores smaller (while on it).

  24. Clearly the protestors are the spineless twats though because they have to resort to these methods to attempt to get their "message" across. Rather than trying to actually change something, they whine like babies lol

  25. Why wouldn’t you whine when your planet is dying? Not a lot more productive can be done by folks like you and me when the political powers and ultra wealthy have us in a chokehold. I agree with everyone arguing against you; it seems you don’t care what is happening to the planet or you’d understand why we are “whining”.

  26. How about do something about it if you care so much rather than waiting for someone else to do it you lazy ass lol acting like a petulant child isn't going to get you anywhere

  27. I dont say no to anyone, cause im afraid id hurt their feelings or they'd end up hating me

  28. This behavior is called “fawning” in case you were not aware. You’re doing yourself a disservice, friend 💜

  29. I’m not trying to sound like a “pick me” here but I seriously do not understand this whole “shittest” thing. I hear men talk about it, my husband has had it done to him even. I’ve heard different explanations for what it is too, some dudes say it’s a woman pretending to call it quits/doing some dumb shit to make him think there’s somebody else to see if he fights for her, some dudes say it’s a woman testing whether or not he’s loyal via having a friend flirt with him or whatever to see what his reaction is. My husband has experienced both apparently, according to him me not doing anything like that is one of the reasons he fell for me. Anyways, it absolutely baffles me that some women actually do this shit. Like… what’s the gain exactly? Why all the fucking head games? Either your man acts right or he gets left, you don’t have to “test” him to see that. Pretending there’s someone else is especially fucked to me because cool, now you’ve made the poor dude have trust issues and he’s always going to wonder. And then it’s those same women I see that put that shit in their partners’ heads and then get pissed/act confused when he’s questioning her every move. Like… sis, really? There’s not a point to this comment I don’t guess, I just can’t bend my head around the concept. I don’t have the patience. Lol.

  30. This isn’t a comment that most women would call you a “pick me” for… fwiw. I call out “pick me” behavior, and this comment (calling out manipulative behavior, regardless of the person’s gender, because all genders can “shit test”) is not what I would define as “pick me”.

  31. People don’t like your comment, but we’ve got a large demographic group in our country that’s aging into the “probably shouldn’t be driving anymore” category and are completely car dependent. They’ll have a hard time giving up their keys and being stuck at home.

  32. Just more reason for better public transportation and an infrastructure that doesn’t prioritize independent vehicles over pedestrians.

  33. We asked one of the clerks at TJs here in Bellingham how it was that this store's lot is so much better than any others we'd parked in. We said we were starting to think that a difficullt parking layout was a requisite for a new store, and part of their business plan. He laughed and said we weren't the first ones to notice and mention that!!

  34. We talked about it in a marketing class I had, because it genuinely seems to be a part of their business plan. A lot that is always full can imply a booming and popular business.

  35. About 15 years ago now I asked my fox news watching father why he preferred the news where they YELLED all the time.

  36. We had nearly the same dad - except mine kept watching it. Goddamn Bill O’Reilly…

  37. Hell yeah, love punkwithacamera! Great human :)

  38. Til a new word, and it's one that I can confidently say that I will never use.

  39. I love the warning of use in the dictionary too despite explaining that the etymology is not the same hahaha I will also not be using this word in my vocab.

  40. I was “snap trained” (my joke) by my dad. I liked to wander, and liked to walk in front as a kid. If I got too far, or my dad was stopping, he’d snap real loud and I’d stop in my tracks.

  41. I just imagine you like a dog… walking with your friends, casually chatting, and then snap suddenly you’re seated where you stand with your tongue hanging out haha

  42. And some kids just like to run off. People judge my friend for having that backpack/leash, but not me because I’ve seen that kid run off into the street and in parking lots. Some kids do a decent job of sticking with their parents, others just like to run.

  43. I WAS a person that judged parents who leash their kids… until I saw a child just fucking BOLT for the street, and I thought, “Damn they run fast!” Hahahaha no self-preservation in those brains, but a lot of speed in those legs.

  44. This could be the key to gun control. Drag queens demonstrating firearms 🤣

  45. They’re already upset about it on Fox News that transgender folks are arming themselves. I think of that BoJack Horseman episode where Hollywood only finally band guns because a woman went out and killed a man with one. Or you know, how our strictest gun regulation occurred when the Black Panthers showed up to protests armed.

  46. This is an underrated comment. This whole tantrum is because his persona (Jack Daniel’s guy) is being shaken because his manly hobby just became a little more tolerant and tolerance isn’t manly to these people.

  47. Alcohol used to be my personality too. Sad sight.

  48. The etiquette is the part that really bothers me. The flippers at my local stores block entire aisles with their carts, grab cartloads only to abandon half of it later, rush new carts that come out, step literally in front of you while you're looking through a rack, loudly brag about backroom deals they have with the staff and get irritated if they think youve found something good. They're aggressive and entitled with no spatial awareness, and they've made thrifting a far more unpleasant experience.

  49. Idk that they’re flippers, but I hate when people, usually boomer aged women, put their hands in your space trying to look at the exact same spot of the rack as you. Literally has one woman grab something out of my hand to examine it and then hand it back to me!

  50. Hahaha you’re right, it IS the same person. That’s embarrassing…

  51. A piece of paper with a barcode for a prize worth $.50-$1000! Looks like we'll have to wait until Monday to see how lucky we are.

  52. No kidding. I don’t doubt that pedos are on the left too, but the political side that is hyper-fixated on calling people child groomers sure harbor a lot of outted ones. Projection at its finest.

  53. Lmao right - the irony of him calling it political hysteria when that’s literally what Fox News does to encourage conservatives to go buy more guns. It’s literally why my Republican father owned ten “hidden” around the house, because “Obama was coming for his guns” and the “Muslims are coming for his guns” and all that sensationalized bullshit. Unlike my father, transgender folks ACTUALLY have violence enacted upon them.
