Within easy walking distance you have grocery stores (including one of two food coops in the city), movie theatre, independent book stores, gyms, multiple great breweries, and some of the best bars and restaurants in the city. theres also lots of green space and good transit options. the only downside is its distance from the lake.

I lived in Toronto for many years and they have great Caribbean food which is really hard to find in Chicago. Specifically roti is a favorite. The only place I’ve found to get roti as good as you can find in Toronto is Cafe Trinidad. It’s a to-go only kitchen but really worth picking up.
