I took a 6-8 month hiatus, so i'm playing hella catchup pre launch. But, I'm max level on everything; it's just gear, quests, and side content. My list currently includes (but not limited to)
You dont know what OP is talking about. After killing bosses in Binding Coil and Alexander you would be put in a unique room where you could see other players who had also just killed that boss.

Theres a seperate setting for group members. Turn their titles and summons off as well. Theres also a setting for color coding. So that tanks are blue, healers green, dps red. That also helps quite alot to keep an overview.
Ooh, color coding their tags is a great idea. I have names off, and damaged health bars on, but I changed my party members color to something neon and obnoxious so i can't miss it (healer main, but I've got adhd lol).
opposite for me, actually. I tried out the new hrothgal first and was like, she's lovely. but then i ran it with my main, and honestly, though i wannna try the new race, i'm hard pressed to let go of my viera boy. He's so pretty and i love him.
yeah i think xiv has great fight formula: it shows us each mechanic one at a time so we can see what it does, where to go, how to deal with it. then it starts getting harder by combining the mechanics. I really love that.
Long pause at the start of the fight? Room-wide. It's the one mechanic I always notice as a DPS, but end up missing the moment I run the fight on a Healer lol
I discovered Sleep Token about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I was watching fan videos of Astarion and happened to be reading the comments. Someone requested the channel make a video using a Sleep Token song, like The Summoning.
It's midnight and I'm drunk so someone else please help me find this or verify if I'm even correct but I swear one of the only comments Vessel has ever made about their music was about the song Jaws, in the vein of "jaws are a sign of the power of destruction" and people hiding things behind their jaws. But I mean obviously much more beautifully stated. Anyway if no one else finds the reference for this I will in the morning.
I scream laughed when I saw Chimken as an option for the chickens bc that's what I ALWAYS say at work (I'm a cook) and I think it's such a stupid but funny joke. I'd never heard anyone else say it so when I saw it in game I felt so seen lol. That's the only animal I have currently so I will hopefully find some more good names soon
Oh I didn’t get creepy vibes from him. At least not those kind of creepy ones haha. There’s something sketchy to me about all the people involved with the consciousness center, but he & Cameron are the only ones who bring up me joining any time I interact with them. So I’ve just avoided talking to either of them unless they have the little “!” over their heads for a quest/task
I think that Cameron genuinely wants to believe in the consciousness center thing. But I think it's his newest crutch/project/obsession. But also, money.
You might have forgotten it. Or I suppose it's possible to have missed the dialogue. I played this game a year ago when it first came out and it was in the game then. I don't remember if it's a quest, or just a random dialogue convo with Hazel. But It's really early on in the game, when Hazel is asking you about your ex, you can pick a name. If you choose Sam, Tara will use they/them pronouns when talking about them. Matt is he/him and Claire is she/her.
I found that during second-ish playthrough that I didn't want granny to go so soon so I have figured out that if you DO NOT fulfill violets initial request (potion) that granny just hangs out and I am working on my farm upgrades and other blah blah blah that gets me further in the game and I’m not pressured by everyone to change the seasons I can stroll around and slowly take care some of the tasks. Unfortunately no broom, no major potions……Let’s just call it no frills play.

It’s called an Antepiece, where you demonstrate a mechanic in a “safe” environment before actually using it for real

as a healer main, i put an aoe shield or hot down as part of my opener because very nearly every boss has a room-wide within the first 3-5 gcds.
I love healer because of this stress. I also hate healer because of this stress, go figure 🤷♂️
if I'm not stressed, I'm not having fun. If our survival isn't in question, then I'm probably falling asleep.
