One of the only reasons I applied for and work for the hospital I currently work for is because of the nurses union. I live in a medium sized American city (metropolitan population of ~2.5 million people) and I work at the ONLY hospital with a nurses union. Literally the only one with a union.
I hope unions will eventually make their way to GA where I work. I was offered an ER position this morning and they literally wanted to pay me $28 an hour. I don't know what planet these hospitals are living on, but this is a slap in the face. I've worked at this hospital before; It was the hardest job I've ever worked while boasting the lowest pay I've made. Please can we unionize in Georgia?!?!?

The post underneath yours has a lot of good info if you want to check it out too! Butttttttt, from my personal experience it really doesn’t like it when I move it around too much. Another comment on the post previously said it needs good airflow and I think that is so true! The stems on my are so long that it needs some way of air flow to make them more resilient to being moved around so much. They like bright bright indirect light for a good portion of the day. I would say at least a solid 6-8 hours of bright indirect sunlight. But I’ve also seen a lot of caladiums with a just a few leaves on them. It’s mostly because they put so much energy in the growth of it that it looses its momentum with the older leafs and even some of the developed new ones. They thrive in humidity, so leaving a window open for air flow might seem like a good idea, but it can hurt the existing humidity and warm temperature around the plant.
Thanks for the good info! I won't be moving it anymore now that I've finally found a good spot. This one was an impulse buy so it moved through a few locations before finally ending up on a shelf in my living room.
I've had this "Scarlet Flame" for approx 3 weeks and the leaves have started to drop. Initially, I was trimming the drooping leaves as I thought it was shocked from reporting but the drooping leaves have persisted.

My gripe with $15 minimum is it doesn’t increase the wages of other fields; when I was an EMT, I made 15/hr. Medics made like 17. At a $15 minimum I would not have been inclined to work EMS. So I think the idea of focusing solely on minimum wage is misguided.
People leaving the field should drive competition to raise wages. No one will work on your shitty ambulance dealing with shitty patients when they can go flip burgers for only slightly less. What must an owner do? Raise wages.
