  1. Theirs 96 acres with a old farm house for sale for $350k half an hour away from me…

  2. Well you got me there however for a house built in 1868 I'm guessing it's not really a house...so you're just buying land..so by the time you bulldoze house and build another..yeah way over $500. Property looks very remote from pictures. Looks nice in pictures but jeez land is barely tillable

  3. My house is over 100 years old and it actually is really a house.

  4. I'm not sure what "a house" really means. I'm sure its solidly constructed however it's going to be leaky as heck and just not as efficient as modern homes. The wiring, plumbing is going to be all out of date. All of these items would either need replacement meaning a tear down or complete remodel which is super expensive. If you didn't redo all these items then the previous owners had too. Old homes are nice for sure but they also come with their own set of problems.

  5. Hi - I know this thread is rather old and I hope you got your conundrum figured out. I just went through this this weekend and initially had a similar issue as you described. I found the controller had to be able to reach the AP on the same VLAN in order to adopt. I was using a virtualized docker unifi controlled within xcp-ng so I had to present the docker host another Virtual interface (virtualized networking card) in which I assigned the specific VLAN tag to this VIF. I'm not sure if this helps.

  6. Nice and clean. You'll eventually upgrade to a rack but it's a good start

  7. do you think it's good idea to use random chinese gadget with unclear vendor security support as router?

  8. I appreciate your concern however I hate to break it to you but I'm betting the router hardware you use was sourced and constructed in China as well. In my case I'm willing to take the risk.

  9. Yea you can think of an analogue led strip as one big single adressable pixel

  10. ya you can buy taking a controller like your digi and then adding a diff to make it able to talk to it but that’s not what it’s designed for. if you have a complex install and using a dig quad or octave and want to use some analog strips off one channel for a specific use case then ok. but analog strips are generally variable current and designed to work with a led driver and not a fixed current controller. I may be wrong and may not have fully understood your use case, are you just trying to use the analog single color under cabinet lights with wled?

  11. I appreciate your explanation..which led controller do you recommend?

  12. As a beginner I would stay with Ubuntu. It's not only easier with the preinstalled software and you'll find way more information about Ubuntu than Debian (yes, it should mostly be the same, but when you're just starting and don't know what you're looking for, it's better)

  13. Ubuntu has a lot of guides on the internet so it's really useful. You could probably use these guides for Debian too..but I do all my work from cli so ymmv

  14. The only problem with higher ed in the US is that it's been losing state funding more and more over the last like 70 fucking years now.

  15. Hmmm doesn't explain why cost of tuition goes up more than inflation.

  16. Use log2ram and disable HA/clustering devices if you don't plan on running a cluster.

  17. While the comment isn't "entirely" wrong, the benefits of ZFS still outweigh the CONs of hardware raid (in my opinion).

  18. Not disagreeing however if the dude knew all this stuff he'd be very well accomplished with zfs. You can read a lot about zfs but you have to experiment with it for sure.

  19. Once you go zfs on your NAS..you don't go back

  20. Building it isn't difficult. Troubleshooting if something goes wrong with the hardware/software can be. Hardware is the easy part. It only fits a certain way and it fits in the same location in almost all motherboards.

  21. Jeez..try after your done delving into the world of hypervisors and Linux. That's where real fun starts 😉

  22. Not out in the USA yet. Coming soon.

  23. Ha yea right...I've heard that for years. Calling BS on that

  24. Market fees are great, but withdraw fees tend to be pretty high. I remember kraken charging around 12 dollars for a btc withdraw when blockchain fees were like 2 dollars.

  25. I agree that is high, however if you own thousands of dollars of BTC, $12 isn't really all that much

  26. It's just very very unlikely that someone here has an intimate knowledge of an undocumented aliexpress cheapo PC.

  27. Hey just quick followup in that I did hear something back from Ali-Express however I did have to take some measurements and figure out somethings based on what they told me. (Not that you care but you did spend some time commenting).

  28. I never ever get my rebate when sending it in

  29. It's too bad. A lot of projects not developing on polygon. I like interacting with chain but others like arbitrum seem to be taking its place.

  30. ARB is also not doing much in terms of price action and is also underperforming the market.

  31. Arb is a governance token. Eth is the token used to pay gas on the network

  32. Yep. Solana is worthless. Send all of your coins to my wallet and I’ll get rid of them for you

  33. Good one. If I had any Solano I'd send you some. I've never bought any of that coin..seems like I only speculate on the shit ones 😂

  34. tldr; Following the collapse of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried's future cellmate, William Stoker, has been sentenced to 25 years in a cell with Bankman-Fried, who incessantly talks about cryptocurrency. Stoker, serving a 30-year sentence for armed robbery, considers this pairing a form of cruel and unusual punishment. Observers and psychologists suggest that prolonged exposure to Bankman-Fried's crypto discussions could be psychologically damaging. Despite attempts, Stoker's requests for a different cellmate have been denied.

  35. So let me get this straight..cellmate serving 30 years for armed robbery while sbf who without any arms stole billions of dollars from investigators gets only 25. Hmmm...yeah I can see the criminal justice system is actually just 🙄

  36. I can't speak to coinbase or binance specifically, but for example if you were to buy straight off kraken app the fees would be much higher than if you went into kraken pro interface and set a limit order where fees are much much less.

  37. Yes correct in the case that you have a fuse in place. Or rather, nothing should be able to exceed the current rating for any diameter in the chain. So let's say you have a 5A PSU, then having a bit of 20AWG in there is ok, 5A won't burn it. But if you have a 60A power supply, that is not the case anymore.

  38. Do you put your fuses before or after the quin led board? I wasn't aware you put after the board..thought it would go between psu and board. Clearly I don't know what I'm talking about

  39. No no, on the Dig-Quad and Octa the fuses you need are already all there so if you use one of those, no problem, all done. But if you are running something DIY it is something to look into.

  40. Hey..yikes..thanks for clarification 😘

  41. I’m not planning to sell my CRO bag, I want to move up to the Jade/Indigo tier. Will lock the required amount of tokens for that, then will maybe consider selling whatever’s left.

  42. Jade teir person here..seriously I'd steer you to invest elsewhere. Cdc has shady past. Looks great right now that there is kind of a bull run going right now. You can make more money elsewhere without the lockup
