Ive been experimenting with cheap craft foam.
You look amazing, glowing, incredible!

Curious rather than being internet safety police - but isn't it dangerous to use a parting tool for cutting the tenon?
Nah, not if youre careful. Hitting the chuck is probably more likely than the wood splitting.
Just beautiful. Excellent job.
Thank you!
Care to share your finishing process? I always love to hear what other people do.
Well done. I like your finishing technique a lot. It's tough for me to get that nice of a shine without CA glue. The gold/black buckeye looks great with that epoxy color. Is that one of the combo blanks from Penn, or did you mix it yourself.
Thank you. As far as finishing since the buckeye is stabilized I wet sand to 2500 grit and then used a 6 step polish called magic juice. No web site right now but I do sell mostly by word of mouth locally and some from my Facebook page. I have a small light box that I got from Amazon for taking photos and just use my phone camera.
Thank you for the advice. I might try it out the Magic Juice. I have seen Zak from Resin Works use it many times. I have had good results sanding up to 1000 and then using a paste wax to finish up.
Are you wanting to stabilize wood or make epoxy blanks from scratch?
Stabilize wood blanks
This is the vacuum pot I use
Very nice!
Omtech 130w, burn at 12mm/s and 22% power.
Do you get a lot of flame up? I am wondering how bad that is for my optics. I cant seem to get through some materials without a pretty consistent flame.
Very good gob. Nice finish. Dont mention that it is backwards, and nobody will ever catch on I promise.
Beautiful pen! Kit for nib/ fittings? Do you know the nib origin? Just got into fountain pens recently.
It's
Is that a stabilized/dyed burl or just resin? Either way, I like the look, very clean, simple, but still elegant.
It is a stabilized maple burl. I buy them from a dude in Russia who makes the most beautiful stabilized wood I've ever seen.
Lovely pen...very interesting swirl designs in the material.
It's birch burl that has been stabilized with a pigmented epoxy.
OP, are you gluing them, or just sizing the box that holds it based on the layer count and compression holds it all in place? Would be curious to hear about your process. Have you done others like this?
Just sized the box and used the front for compression. It worked really well. This was my first time ever trying it like this. I have cut the foam twice before, and this was the best result.
So what IS that craft foam then?!
THIS
Printed a lampshade and stand for a Coast Flashlight. We have them in vending machines here at work for employees, so the design is popular among colleagues.
You have a vending machine for flashlights? What line of work is this?
Machinist in a large shop
"I like my women how I like my coffee"
That's fantastic!
Thank you very much.
It's a Tiger Lily.
I wanted to make this NPC so bad. I would love a nature spirit that randomly causes groups of raccoons to come together and form a higher intelligence. They either play a harmless prank or steal something small, unless times are bad and then they leave something beneficial.
Ground up and in the Freezer.
I experienced something very similar. My dad had a lot of anger management issues when I was a kid and he, like you said, had a very short fuse. He was never abusive toward us, but he definitely punched a couple holes in the wall. After one particularly bad incident he put himself in therapy and I swear to god I have never seen him get to that level of anger since.
Thanks man. This is me. I am the short fuse guy who admits fault and wrong doing and apologises to my kids. I also try and listen to them and explain why I am either punishing them or asking them to do something. I am trying. I hope they recognise it later.
I do not own that specific laser, but it sounds like you should sync your machine zero and your software zero to the center of your burn area. I cant offer specific advice other than Google how to change your Machine Zero. Lightburn offers an option on the right that is a square shape made up of dots. That is the zero of your software. If you have Absolute Coordinates turned on it will default to machine.

Kentucky, more touching than you ever wanted.
I thought that was Penn
Very well done. I love the box and the pen. I dont recognise the kit. What style is it? I dont suppose I could get the CAD for the box could I?
It can lead to a lot longer.
