TOG has been my favorite fantasy series of all time with a close second on Red Rising. I haven’t read CC yet though 😅. I’m waiting for someone to tell me if the cliff hanger in CC3 is brutal. After waiting 2 years after EOS came out, my heart can’t take Maas’ cliff hangers 😆
I still love it but I'm half way through the TOG series now and I can honestly say it's way way better, but I will always have a place in my heart for acotar
Just as an update as I've now finished, I cried so hard at the end! I actually really loved this book even though it took me an age to finish it lol. I can appreciate Nesta more now. She is not my favourite character, I don't think she ever will be. But her journey towards healing and repairing her relationships with her sisters, and her finding her own family/her relationship with Cassian etc were really great to read and I'm excited to see what happens in the future.
I have always enjoyed the characters that are the most difficult to sympathize or love. I find them much more fascinating. Another example is that I absolutely love Cersei Lannister from the ASOIAF series. She’s completely horrendous, but to me that makes her so interesting.
I really like the idea that there's someone for everyone in the Maas universe! I'm near the end now and I'm feeling myself softening to Nesta so maybe I'm not far off
