Generally, I really agree with you. And if they are shaming One Piece for this reason, they are having a very very shallow critique. One Piece is all about the fight againt discrimination and the fight of humankind (or, even better, the "living-rational-things-kind") for world libertation. Oda clearly has his limitations but they are not that absurd. He is a man with a not very high antiracist theorical formation and/or debate. But surely he is a lot like Luffy -- very good intentions in his core without being necesserily profundly informed. Oda is not the revolutionary Dragon, for exemplo, which actively tries to make the world better with the best opinions, but he certainly cares very much about people and, even more so, the minorities.
Yeah. I'm a long term manga reader and his comment somehow got to me, surprisingly. But then I thought about it and woah, this is so obviously superficial.
I mean, that's basically how it is, lol. Even if it means he himself dying at the hands of one of his friends, if it gives them even a chance to have any chance at freedom and living their lives, he'll take it.
I don't think either Ymir or Eren has control on the other shifters. I think the shifters are the direct descendancy of Ymir and so on the same entity, with its own will. Which side of Ymir happen to win the great war of Ymir? The one who wanted freedom. Lets not forget that a part of Ymir always wanted freedom, as we can see when she willingly set those pigs free.
Somehow this episode has become the only episode (so far) that has exceeded my expectations and how much I enjoyed it in the manga. Which is even more surprising given that its also among my favorite reveals/parts of the manga. I thought it'd have been too hyped up in my head. But the anime delivered.
Wow. This is SPOT ON the same reflection I had. I hope you continue to enjoy the anime because god knows how good it is. And I needed this crazy good adaptation.
Yes! But also, it's really interesting choice for Oda. It seems like he takes the coat off to fight seriously, with respect, kinda saying "this is between you and me, not between two captains, but between two beast who wants to have some fun".
I also noticed the "clouds" that usually accompany Gear Fourth surrounding him during certain attacks, but he's obviously still in base form. So, possibly? Especially after Who's Who's whole lore-dump towards Jinbe about Luffy's fruit.
LET'S FUCKING GO. Tides are turning. Who would've thought that the turning point would be Killer? I bet his move and choices would cascate to allow Kid to win against a Yonkou and then, with this output, with a Yonkou less, the match would be settled.
Yes. What the fuck was Reiner saying "such a great man" or something while sobbing? And Jean with the "what a councious idiot"? I'm not THAT frustrated but jesus come on
Last panel made me shit myself
ROBIN IF YOU CRY WE CRY DERE SHISHISHISHI
Sometimes you can really use One Piece to reflect upon your own life. There are a lot of valuable lessons.
I know cancer is no joke. And sometimes there is almost nothing we can do. So I really hope you can get through this.
That's the big game right now.
Same voice actor as Ichigo from Bleach, so he definitely has the shounen protagonist energy.
It's just ABSURD how cool this is

Same person who animated the rob lucci Gatling (Katsumi Ishizuka) animated today’s Kong Gatling
Perfect! I came here to adress that. While I watched Kong Gattling I had a very familiar feeling.
Can someone explain be what is happening? Somewhere someone said "
I shit my pants.
Betting on this
Totally.
Thank god it wasn't resin
Precisely. Goofy Luffy is what we need.
Remember last episode when they spent 10-15 minutes trying to not kill anyone on this mission?
Interesting takeaway. I'm gonna think about that.
Don't. It's a garbage take

Finally someone who got it right. Amazing.
I don't understand why AOE is even a possibility to you guys? They are obviously following the manga.
What is AOE?
This cured my depression

The tragedy of Act 3 has arrived

Lore dump? Ist there something else I'm missing? The only thing I remember Who's Who saying is that he was scolting the Gomu Gomu no Mi.

Holy fucking shit
Hello, Agent May. Always a pleasure
Yes, excellent. I always knew Big Mom would tbe convinced to join the Strawhats
Yes, this is canon. Thank you now I can move on with my life
This is the way
YES. AFTER THE DISASTER NAMED SNK CH. 139 WE GOT THIS FUCKING HYPE CHAPTER FROM THE ONE WHO NEVER LETS US DOWN.
Fuck right off with this “Eren killing 80% of humanity makes him a savior” bullshit. Kind of a disappointing ending to this series
