I have a lot of success with Arcanists. Syndra isn't good. Your carry should be Lux and/or Zoe. If you play around Syndra you will bot 4. There's a misconception that Syndra is a good unit when in reality she's hard carried by her Fated trait, when the reality is that the unit is straight up ass cheeks.

Lol yeah I guess that is true. Probably has to do with the fact that some 4 costs are REAAAALLY contested so hitting even 3 of them can be a crapshoot (Kayn, Ashe) whereas others are completely untouched. Probably why most of the time when you see a 3* 4 cost it's a Galio or Sylas. I hit Syndra 3 occasionally too when I run Fated.

Both dudes aren't wrong but both dudes are in WILDLY different stages of their fight career. Chandler is one foot out the door already - if he loses to McGregor, don't be surprised if he just retires and calls it quits.

Yeah I imagine it still breaks 1m PPV buys, especially with how much mainstream exposure UFC 300 brought to the sport. We know that Conor's best days are far behind him and that his skills have severely regressed but casual fans don't know that. If you don't pay much attention to the sport it's easy to be convinced that Chandler is some kind of worldbeater and that this is a real clash of the titans matchup.

If you're super highrolling fated, lets say you have 7 fated at 3-2 (spat and lucky syndra) and are win streaking with good econ, should you still reroll for 3 costs on 7 or just push to lvl 9+

Fated is one of my most successful comps. I always default to pushing for 8, but occasionally I will roll at 7 if I natural a lot of Aphelios/Thresh and can realistically 3* one or both of them without significant investment.

When do you fated pair Thresh+Sett vs Thresh+Syndra? Also do you try to replace Ornn with Udyr whenever possible?

I personally like Thresh/Sett always even after the Sett nerf. Omnivamp on your carries remains important in a meta filled with a lot of backline hitters like Kaisa,

With Shen carry augment you're kind of locked into just Shen carry. You don't really have any pivoting options plus Shen hero augment is so unbelievably strong you can legitimately win the lobby with it.

Nah its just that most comps this set aren’t good against crab. You need single target DPS and sustain to beat crab and I don’t think any meta comp right now has both. Fated in particular has neither unless you have Sett which is a tough ask if you’re not level 9+ which Fated doesn’t get to until way later.

I had a full 7 fated with a fully built 2 star syndra and a 3 star thresh

Tanks are fake against crab since it'll kill your backline before Thresh even hits 50% hp

I also want to add that Bill Haney was coaching him in the corner to roll under Ryan’s left hook, which was just terrible advice. Devin cannot roll fast enough to do that effectively against someone so lightning quick. Defensive focus should have been on keeping the right hand glued to his face all night. They knew Ryan had one major weapon, and it’s insane to me that he was so open for that shot all night.

It worked for Tank, difference is that Haney doesn’t have the reflexes to pull off the gameplan.

Contender Series is just TUF for the modern-age, aka outside of the reality-TV boom that birthed TUF.

Yeah TUF is just an outdated concept. Absolute goldmine in the 2000s when people absolutely ate up trash reality TV like Jersey Shore (including myself) but that's just not what people are as into anymore. It makes you realize in the end that people primarily liked TUF for the reality TV portion not the fighting portion, so now with TUF being more focused on just the fights you're just left with professional fights between prelim-level fighters.

Man, welterweight is a mess right now. By all accounts, it seems like Leon has been down to fight anyone they offer him, but we're still just getting no movement. It's such a shame, because him overthrowing Usman was such an exciting turn for the division, but we've barely gotten anywhere since then. Colby looked so listless in that last fight that I have to remind myself it even happened. I'm not exactly a Belal superfan but dude deserves his shot, and I'll take pretty much anything if it gets this division moving again.

She's still the most reliable 4 cost to play for and honestly still feels really strong despite the nerfs, but not as egregious as she was prior to the patch. That said, other 4 costs feel better now. You can actually play around Kayn, Morg, and Ashe now although sadly Lilia's still useless.
