  1. It's not a selfish view to think that rich people should pay more in taxes, no.

  2. As you said, the issue is with the tax laws so if anything people should blame the politicians for writing them that way. Except they are likely taking advantage of them too lol.

  3. Who is a nets fan though? Like seriously? Are there people who grow up closer to Brooklyn that are legit Brooklyn nets fans? Old nets fans out in jersey? Are they contrarians who are fans of the nets mostly to not be a knick fan? I’ve always been so curious about what nets and clippers fans are like locally. In my head a nets or clippers season ticket holder also has MLS season tickets.

  4. Mostly former NJ Nets fans who can't even blame the team for moving an hour away to a much nicer area than the shithole known as Newark. Although Newark has been getting a lot better in the past decade.

  5. I'm pretty average but rolled high on charisma

  6. I'm the opposite. I can confidently say my peers consider me a top talent in terms of ability/results but I'm average at best in terms of charisma/navigating office politics.

  7. Jury issue aside the reason I think he wants to reincorporate in Texas are as follows.

  8. LOL I literally just told you. Kimbal got money from Zip2 and invested it into PayPal.

  9. And guess who did the actual work at zip2 and PayPal? Yep, Elon who is the one with the technical degree and knowledge.

  10. Do you know how stocks work? When you buy a stock, if the price goes up you make money. That’s what Kimbal did with PayPal stock you imbecile. He was worth like 50M by the time he was 25.

  11. The board can fire the CEO for violating his employment agreement at any time regardless of voting rights. But obviously you didn't know that basic fact lmao.

  12. Then you are oblivious if you think Elon doesn't have close to 50% of voting shares if not more through his allies and as the largest shareholder. He's clearly the most powerful and influential person at the company.

  13. I understand why it's high assuming by state tax you mean income tax. I'm just saying taxes on housing in TX is not cheap therefore housing there is not "cheap" in areas where these businesses relocate to. I live in WA where we also don't have an income tax but Texas property taxes are like double ours.

  14. At least with property tax, there is some level of control you can exert by living in cheaper housing or selecting a town with lower relative property taxes.

  15. The court addresses this, whether you agree with it or not:

  16. That's a different question. What you're describing is the debate that Elon's pay was too high proportional to shareholder gain. I never offered an opinion on that.

  17. In law and in fact, opportunity costs from a fiduciary's decision are "at the shareholder's expense" even if the shareholder still profits overall.

  18. It's beyond idiotic to blame a corporate fiduciary for opportunity cost as a shareholder. The fiduciary isn't holding a gun to your head forcing you to hold your stock.

  19. Shouldn't this be bullish for the stock? Compensation is excessive so the company now needs to pay less which means more value to the company/shareholders?

  20. Clickbait headline. Tesla is dropping because the entire market is dropping because of bad earnings.

  21. Mahomes is obviously great but KC's defense is underrated. Incredible play by Sneed to save that TD.

  22. Be nice to your wife's bf. He's the new alpha in your relationship.

  23. Worthy was only there for three as well

  24. Die hard Bulls fan who grew up in the 90’s and even I have to tip the cap to Magic/Kareem/Worthy.

  25. They were my pick too. They won 5 rings with the Celtics as another all-time great dynasty in their prime.

  26. Oh I see they aren’t backing out that one time non-cash tax benefit so using the EPS of above $2.20ish. If they backed that out then the PE would be 75 on a TTM EPS of 2.44.

  27. That's a fair point. I forgot about that tbh. It wasn't my intention to mislead lol.

  28. No worries, I ran the numbers earlier this week. That non cash tax benefit accounts for about $1.85 EPS.

  29. Your numbers are probably more accurate then since you did the actual math lol. Either way, you're right that 42 is not the "real" PE. Def closer to 75 as you pointed out.

  30. I get that, but what’s the issue? It was controversial sure, but what point are you trying to make? Because the US, especially compared to the world stage, for the last year and some change has been doing vastly better in comparison. So, what was the negatives of this bill?

  31. The US is doing well because the original bill Biden proposed did not pass. The bill that passed was revised by Manchin and Schumer, not Biden. Any credit should be given to mostly Manchin and then Schumer. As well as any Dems who supported Manchin behind closed doors.

  32. Historically speaking, investing in infrastructure/public work projects is one of the most sure fire ways to boost the economy. FDRs implementation of the Public Works Administration under the New Deal for example. While it was plagued with budgeting issues and some goals weren’t met (nothing is perfect, especially in government) it provided hundreds of thousands of jobs, built bridges and roadways for a more efficient transportation-economy, and created 10s of thousands of office buildings, which provided a stimulus for further job growth, and built homes to ease the market. It’s one of the facets that helped the US out of the depression

  33. I strongly agree and support what the money was spent on. But that's not the issue. The issue was the timing and the amount of money being spent.

  34. Bruh because you don’t know what you’re doing lol.

  35. This reminds me of when I used to get shitfaced with my buddies at casinos and play craps without knowing any of the rules. I had no idea why I was winning or losing money, but it was a good fucking time. Gambling in its purest form imo.

  36. Buy bitcoin below 40k sell above. Thank me later.

  37. Bitcoin spent nearly two years below 40k before its recent breakout though 🤔

  38. And now it’s up over 41k. In the short term crypto is pretty predictable. Got downvoted and I was right, kind of shows what people know 😅

  39. This type of strategy is commonly described as “picking up pennies in front of a steam roller”

  40. If he's an influencer, where are his thirst traps....please.

  41. You can disagree with someone without casting aspersions on them or accusing them of ‘making shit up’.

  42. Lmao Tesla’s guidance in their shareholder decks and earnings calls has historically always been about production. You are so full of shit and yet lack so much self-awareness.

  43. If calling out your obvious bullshit is “abusive”, then you should stop being so intellectually dishonest by constantly talking out of your ass 😂✌️

  44. That’s clearly a typo. He meant 32

  45. Tesla is in a much stronger position than 2018-19, but the upside is a lower multiple, OR requires things that are a lot less guaranteed than the things needed for the 2020-21 runup to happen.

  46. Yea 2019 was completely different. Short interest was almost 30% at that time due to bankruptcy concerns. Today it's only 3-4%. There's no way Tesla is going bankrupt. Sure earnings results weren't good, but they still made like 15B in profit this year lmao. It's a huge improvement from when they were lost a billion in 2019.

  47. why do you think he stopped doing daily tesla videos?

  48. He started a venture capital and wealth management firm. I believe it's been doing pretty well so he's focusing more on that now.

  49. EVs are the future. But I don't think we're at the ability for full replacement yet. ICE cars will be around for years longer as much as I wish they weren't.

  50. I said if BYD were allowed in tomorrow. Tesla would take the most immediate hit and would struggle far more since ICE cars aren't going anywhere for a while. In the long run, the legacy auto makers would have to adapt or die.

  51. I 100% agree with everything you just said here. But this is a far cry from "Tesla wouldn't do much better tbh" without the additional context you provided lol.

  52. At less than 1% dividend, he could get a lot more money for “doing nothing” by buying US treasuries. 4% or $4 billion in fact.

  53. Not after MSFT plummets when he sells 300M shares and pays like 20B in capital gains taxes just so he can buy treasuries. Also making him lose all control in MSFT.

  54. I agree Tesla's current vehicle lineup has probably plateaued in growth outside of Cybertruck. Tesla needs the cheaper 25k vehicle now more than ever.
