  1. i loved my rebel as my first bike. Lol I actually just sold it yesterday and I'm going to use the money to buy a 2024 se rebel. Because it's my favorite bike.

  2. yta. why didn't you move out years ago?

  3. also so I should mention that I love watching the action on jitterbugs, so I've used them a ton of times, and I've never caught anything with them in daylight, and believe me I've tried. If i'm topwater fishing in daylight I use a torpedo. but if it's after dark they go nuts for the jitterbug or a buzzbait.

  4. That's cool. I have a buzzbait too. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but it seems I have to pull the buzzbait to the surface and hold the rod high to keep it chugging on the surface. Am I doing that right? It's supposed to be cracking the surface correct?

  5. Yeah with buzz baits you keep your tip up and retrieve it really fast.

  6. im super happy the bullets held

  7. Don't do horseshoe that place is garbage especially for tournaments. If you are gonna make the trip there drive an extra 20 minutes to Maryland Live

  8. ok cool I'll look up md live and check their tournament schedule. A big reason I haven't gone to the horseshoe yet is that I've heard horror stories

  9. why not do the single greatest promo of all time "

  10. Sub isn’t just for cringe anymore. Just for TikTok videos now.

  11. It's kind of funny that this sub went from tiktokcringe to tiktokstuffwelike. I wonder if that was a planned change or just a side effect of ppl upvoting stuff the like.

  12. I do really well in licking creek in western maryland. But my catch rate is dramatically influenced by the clarity of the water there. If it's really clear I'll catch a fish every cast if it's muddy I'll catch nothing. Mostly smallies, fallfish, and sunnys but I've caught a few catfish and trout too.

  13. Water clarity was really good on the upper patuxent when I went on Sunday, not sure if the front that moved through impacted it at all.

  14. For sure. I should also mention a rebel wee craw is my go to lure for smaller creeks.

  15. Something I found interesting in college in my history of the English language is that in the late 1800s poker was so popular in the US that it actually changed the language. So now one of the defining characteristics of the American dialect of English is the use of poker terms and expressions. Even the saying "the buck stops here" is referring to the dealer button which was called "the buck" in the 50s when Harry truman said it.

  16. That actually makes a lot of sense. I wouldn't be surprised if the term "you bet" comes from the same orgins

  17. yeah in the book I had it had a ton of examples where some were super obvious like "It's his ace in the hole" or "He keeps his cards close to his chest" but some I didn't realize were referring to poker like "read em and weep" or "he's got it in spades" although kind of obvious once I thought about it.

  18. I beg to differ. You always buy condition not year. This should be a ground rule of any purchase of vehicles. This bike might have been garaged all it's life never ridden in the rain and meticulously serviced all it's life. It can be in like new condition still after these years. The best idea is to go and check it. If you made an assessment than you can decide.

  19. yeah I have a 1996 shadow that had one owner who baby'd it so much it still looks and drives like it's brand new.

  20. you can get a used honda rebel 250 for that and while it's not crazy fast they are super easy and fun to drive. I have a 500cc rebel and it's still my most driven bike out of my fleet.

  21. yeah don't worry I'm pretty damned heavy and my niece's 250 rebel still can get up to 70mph with me on it. I also have a honda ruckus that still drags me around pretty well but I ain't gonna beat any speed records on it.

  22. I moved to a new town when I was 35 and I feel you, it's much much harder at that age to get new friends and stuff. I did finally got some new friends and stuff, but it wasn't easy. What I did was just ask some coworkers that I liked if i could hang out. I won't lie it hurt a little when they'd blow me off but not all of them did.

  23. I prefer to establish in advance that we're each covering our own end of things. It's not about money, though. It's about making clear that she's there to meet and get to know me just like I am there to meet and get to know her.

  24. same here! I've had my relationship where I just supported the both of us and for sure one was enough.

  25. I'm friends with a few indy wrestlers and it's really wild how radically different they are in an everyday situation vs their gimmicks. My gf and I was hanging out with a few people the other night, and she was just ranting about this one match we had seen recently. Mostly about how much fun it was for her to heckle and boo the heel. She had no idea that the heel she was referring to was one of the people involved in the conversation. When he said "thank you I really appreciate that" she was like "Why?" it took both me and him to convince her it was really him.

  26. Spike Dudley also spent like 7 years in TNA after his WWE run. He's often overlooked in favour of bigger talents but when you think about it he was probably one of the most widely successful ECW wrestlers.

  27. yeah spike was so good, When he starts selling it really looks like he's getting murdered. I was really glad he was able to make a decent go of it after ecw collapsed.

  28. Your Brother and your wife had no problem humiliating you. Let them face the light of day.

  29. Wow I didn't know James was still around I'm going to check them out

  30. I like that - "narrative art form". I love pro-wrestling. It's part super-hero/circus/soap opera/kabuki theatre. When people say it's fake, I say "Yeah, just like X-Files, NCIS and the Big Bang Theory. Have you ever called them "fake"?"

  31. Yeah they are completely missing the point by saying it's fake

  32. When people would tell me wrestling was fake, I'd say "so is The Matrix (1999), but its still dope.

  33. haha yeah. I'm always blown away that the "wrestling is fake" people never realize how dumb they sound because they assume that a wrestling fan thinks it's real. I haven't thought it was real since i was 6 years old, and I've never met anyone who thought it was real, ever.

  34. you need to take a really hard look at yourself.

  35. Oh man in the wind is such a great song for healing. I recently played it for a grieving friend. She cried her eyes out but said the song made her feel better.

  36. I've wondered the same thing. I can fly to Costa Rica for a week and stay in a nice air BnB for less than going to OC and staying in a garbage bin hotel

  37. Better food for less in Costa Rica also

  38. I truly loved when joey janela wrestled the invisible man

  39. Sadly, his wife has just suffered a miscarriage very recently. So I wouldn't expect him back real soon.

  40. That sucks I hope they get through it ok. I saw him live for the first time in gcw in early march it was great.

  41. I am super happy that aj did well in the wwe. When he left tna my friends and I really worried that he'd be wasted there but that wasn't the case bc his talent just can't be denied. He deserves to be in the goat conversation.

  42. crab 99 is really good for a la style seafood boil for sure. Mother Shuckers in martinsburg has some really good fish/steamed seafood too. But it's kind of pricey and always packed to the gills on weekends.
