  1. What if you divide it among 1.4 billion people? Lemme go and calculate.

  2. I believe it’s because they wanted to show Feynman in the movie albeit a small role- one of the most recognizable physicists. His role was like only 2-3 pages at max in the book as well.

  3. Last year me and my cousin saw Top Gun: Maverick in IMAX at Lincoln square on cinema day. I could just tell from the vibes that the audience was there solely because of the cheap tickets and not the movie/experience. Obviously that’s the point, but it just felt off, didn’t feel as nice as it should have, especially when you have a theater of over 400 people and not a single person clapped for Nicole Kidman.

  4. Do we get tickets online for cinema day or get in line, first come first serve at the theatre?

  5. Boeing IMAX is where I saw Oppenheimer, it was glorious.

  6. Lockheed IMAX is being renovated since last 2-3 years and will probably open mid 2024 (part of the Aero Musuem renovations).

  7. Unfortunately, yes. Even though my country has friendly relations with Japan. 😶

  8. It took 2 months to process. 😪 Otherwise, I have seen people getting their visas in 3 days.

  9. Looks like you didn’t go to the Uber pickup spot. I even found cabs around 12am in the night. The scammers try to catch you midway through and say they are from Uber/Ola when in truth they are not. Always go to the designated pickup spot.

  10. I think man named in lawsuit should sue for defamation of character and slander. We’d understand.

  11. Yeah. I want to know if it's possible or not. And for identity theft as well maybe?

  12. Internazionale Football Club Milan - usually called Inter Milan. The "inter" is most likely inspired by them, Inter Milan is a popular club from Italy who played in the final of the Uefa Champions League this year.

  13. The reason athletico de Kolkata and Mumbai city are inspired for the fact that the foreign clubs own some stake in them. No idea about kashmir and northeast though.

  14. It does not work. All online indian payments that I tried needs Pin codes which international cards don't have.

  15. I didn't have the problem when I used my credit card. While adding it into payment option, it just asked for CVV.

  16. Strange.. I've been in India for almost 5 months, Uber/Ola doesn't take my international VISA or Mastercard, same way I can't pay via UPI/PayTM/Gpay.

  17. I can’t make of it now. My first transaction failed, that’s when I toggled the international transactions to “ON” on my credit card(MasterCard) app and then I was able to use it on UBER.

  18. It has been the same for me as well. All my docs show surname in the front and my name last. That won’t be an issue with passport. In passport first name is given name and last name is surname. So fill according to that. If your name has like 3-4 words, everything except your family/surname goes into first name and your family name to last name. Won’t cause any issues at all. DONT USE INITIALS EVER ON YOUR PASSPORT.

  19. I activate it when I enter the train, bc the wifi is terrible and sometimes the app doesn’t load when they come around. Then they just stare at you awkwardly till the wifi comes back for you to activate it 😭

  20. Afaik it works without internet as well. Just turnoff all the WiFi and data. I can be wrong though, it’s been long since I used the app.

  21. That’s what I thought too first. And definitely the Scott’s way.

  22. I did tell them that I quit for health reasons and they didn't buy it, they're saying they'll get an attorney to file a case and I will have to pay their attorney fees...

  23. Who pays the attorney fees is not decided by them. They recruit them on their own and if the case goes through and everything, then the judge orders who should pay or something like that. You never pay for others attorney fees beforehand.

  24. Yup follow the watch order by the auto moderator. Go to Menu-> anime watch order -> NGE

  25. Shhh, no one must know that the subreddit has a watch order wiki. We'd never get the same questions asked over and over in /new otherwise.

  26. I’m a telugu guy and I learnt telugu writing and reading in 6th class. It’s not that hard when you are young. It’s just that one has to have the resilience to learn it. Yes, knowing the spoken tongue beforehand helped in picking up reading quick, but it’s easy to learn young.

  27. Any one with internet on their smartphone is able to send & receive money.

  28. True. You can also send or receive money without internet.

  29. If netflix wants to surprise me, then they’d bring back the old ratings system so I can see what other people thought of the show, don’t give me some opaque “our algorithm said you’ll like this” that’s rarely correct.

  30. Atleast, it gives you a new show saying it’s similar to the old show/movie. In my case, it specifically used to give me a movie or show that I had already watched on Netflix. SMH.

  31. Most of the times its fraud prevention. You should get an sms/mail from the card company saying is this really you or sorts.
