  1. Probably his comment was just a prelude to a humblebrag of how much he earns lol

  2. Mob, youth, and teenagers are all racist words

  3. They are white or non-white depending on what fits the Reddit narrative. If they are oppressing and in power they are white, if they are victimised then obviously non-white because white people can't be.

  4. People who say "do it" may still look at the job market/the world with rose tinted glasses. The situation now does not seem to be the same as it was 3, 5 or 10 years ago, when you could be relatively certain you could find a similarly good job after coming back. It seems now it's much more competitive and chaotic, so if you think your job is pretty good, I don't think I'd let it go. If your job is so-so, then yeah why not.

  5. I have an idea how to improve the hiring process - just add arbitrary number of stages until the applicant fails. F*cker perfectly solved 10 rounds? Just add 11th, maybe he will fail this time!

  6. Zendaya is not 5’10”, more like 5’8”. Most actors listings are inflated, but then some tennis players as well

  7. OpenAI and Anthropic are also hiring i in London, so Microsoft is not the only one of the major AI companies there

  8. Why do dumb people always go straight to racism. How about you actually listen to what people are saying instead?

  9. They’ve been conditioned like Pavlov’s dog, that’s why. No need to think, just say “racism” and maybe get a dopamine hit for how good for the “cause” you are

  10. Remember this is Reddit and lots of people get off LARPing.

  11. Could be LARPers, could be humble braggers who really earn a high salary. But there are always outliers, you can get lucky and get a director position because you knew someone, while 100 other as competent people don't get it because they didn't know that person.

  12. It works for US, because it exports inflation in a way so that other countries pay for it lol. There's always demand for the dollar. So US citizens get to enjoy higher salaries in part subsidised by other countries.

  13. Guy has to remember he's competing with 20-25 year olds with tons of energy. You have to deal with a lot of BS when you first break into a career... Ngl, Idk if I'd have the energy at 40

  14. I'm not sure age is such a big deal in terms of energy now, GenZ on average seems pretty listless to be honest, lol.

  15. I like the high level idea, but I always forget how to get the indexes right

  16. I think people look at their bubbles and assume they are "average." Yes, they may be average for people living in not-quite-the-wealthiest neighborhood with the best rated schools and short commutes. What they don't realize is that their peer group is not representative of the larger population. People literally can't seem to imagine what they don't see immediately in front of them, like where their kids' teachers and all the service workers around them live....

  17. Some people pretend to assume to be "average" to put the "humble" in humblebrag though.

  18. Yeah, how's that phrase even creepy? And fr, making love and fucking are different in terms of the feelings and intimacy around it.

  19. Pornhub masturbators and emotionally underdeveloped people will not understand the distinction though.. and there's quite a few of them

  20. Ever write something 🔥 and some 🤡 copies you and gets more up votes?

  21. Ever write something 🔥 and some 🤡 copies you and gets more up votes?

  22. MMs just rotate to pumping different mega cap names to stop markets from falling

  23. Lol it's true. There's always at least 1 that is randomly pumping.

  24. Get good at gaming the interview - leetcode, common system design questions, be good at inventing/memorising stories for behavioural interview. Besides that, luck is needed to get interviews in the first place, and if you want to maximise compensation, joining at beneficial times for the stock to appreciate

  25. He meant the girl with fresh brain damage, but cool way to slip some racism in where is didn't need to be

  26. How do you know what the original comment meant? Maybe you are wrong

  27. No catalyst needed - default mode of market is just ripping

  28. Congratulations. However there's been so many posts from people who recovered, it makes me nervous about this market, lol.

  29. I like it. It seems that this market makes the most outlandish bullish claims come true and rather quickly.

  30. What's makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?

  31. The most similar jacket to this one would be a classic A-2 flight jacket. You can look it up, many brands make great reproductions of it. This Balenciaga seems to be inspired by it, but IMO the repros looks better anyway.. not to mention even the most expensive ones are still 3x-4x cheaper than this.

  32. I know for a fact that the people who work at Amazon are absolute morons and next to no one inside that organization has any idea what anyone else is doing. The number of times I've been told by members of their leadership and support staff (higher end support, not just regular outside the US seller support) that they are unaware of other programs and can't actually access seller or vendor central is laughably high. How a company can be that big and dominating yet full of such blind incompetence is truly one of life's greatest mysteries.

  33. Why do you think big corps need tens/hundreds of thousands of employees.. in many cases their marginal utility is minimal, or even negative.

  34. I'd say it's a non-issue from another angle: every time I've had a real problem with a product purchased from Amazon, it's been a third party seller. It'll chase away the scammers and riff-raff and overall quality will increase while Amazon doesn't have to spend a bunch of money making customers who got scammed on their platform whole.

  35. Isn't Amazon introducing their own products whenever the item is popular enough? Maybe with that move they want to both 1) maximise fees and 2) scare away potential competition of their own branded/distributed products

  36. Market is forward looking. Therefore it can just look forward to the rate cut, whenever it's going to happen - doesn't matter if in 3 months, 6 months, or 3 years, just look forward to that point in time and stonks will go up! Similarly if there's a bad event on the horizon - just look forward past it, problem solved. Easy.

  37. Agree. It seems that some people try to make up for something missing, by travelling. To fully experience a new place I think you need some sort of an inner depth.. a depth that would make you interesting even if you stay in one place. Otherwise it's just going through the motions. I like travelling, but I think it's just one of factors leading to a stimulating life. You can be an interesting person without having to travel a lot, and you can be a boring person despite traveling a lot.
