I tried with my well. It filled the bucket so fast I couldn't get an accurate time. 2hp Franklin submersible. I think last time I checked it at a spigot I filled a gallon jug in 6 seconds. Now I put a 5hp down a 5 inch case and have no clue how to check flow.
I bought a couple and took them to the everglades. They worked perfectly. No issues. Still have one of them and use it on mosquito lagoon. I use heavy braid and heavy drag.
Nice job finessing him away from the mangroves. I’d consider that a catch since you got the leader to the rod tip. Which is why it broke. By keeping the knot against the rod tip added pressure was put on the knot, and it popped there. Helluva nice Blue, the size I normally only see off the beach. Great technique, and a catch in my opinion. Unless you wanted to make smoked fish dip…..

It would have helped if you pulled out the stinger. Bees continue to pump in venom after they sting because it pulls out the stinger and venom sacks.
