While it most certainly does have an effect, I do see it as completely reasonable that people are mistaking that for a bigger or different problem, ie. It’s only 60% the smoke but people are attributing 100% of the excess dust build up to the smoke. It would be difficult to test but interesting. If you already have a decent gpu like 3070/3080, you don't need to upgrade to a 4070/super/duper/ti. In fact, you don't need to upgrade every gen. Waiting for a 5070 is the best decision for more than 100% perf increase.
I went from a 3070/5800X to a 4080/5800X3D. No I didn't "need" to, but the performance difference at 1440p is significant, and depending on game can be more than 100% increase.
There is a place between 128 and sub 20 where its decent quality. Also hdd:s are not that expensive these days. 16TB fits a few hours of movies even in 80-100Mbps.
There's sub 20 where it can be excellent quality too. I have rips that are 40GB that are worse than 4GB and many where the quality difference is practically nothing. It's more complex than just bitrate and resolution.

Im not gunna tell you that you need to love TLJ, but if you havent seen it since release and not since RoS, I would definitely consider revisiting it. Maybe do a sequel trilogy in one run.

Install went smoothly. Went into a setup loop for about 20 min during the first start-up, then it was off and running. Right off the bat, I noticed a marked performance increase. Faster rendering in games and much quicker on processing code. I'm going to have to upgrade my heatsink, though. The Wraith Spire that came with my 2700x works, but the temps are hanging out in higher temps than I'd like for the long-term, around 86c under load with all fans pumping at max rpms.

The majority of dust comes from outside your house (two thirds). This is scientifically proven.
