  1. Sometimes people are a bit self-conscience about money or come from a culture that does not talk about it. Depending on what she does for work it should be pretty easy to at least guess what she makes based on things like average salary or Glassdoor reviews for the company she works for.

  2. Depending on who the property manager/management is this may be an internal rule of theirs. I work for one that they have a "seasonal" rent time frame, all leases start on a Friday and end on a Sunday and in one region they only end in May, June, July or August. When an early termination happens there is vacancy in which needs filling, someone applies and gets the unit and their lease very well could be 10-14 months depending on their move in timeline. Say they moved in today, the way our company works is similar in that the lease must end sometime in a summer time frame so it could end up being 13 or 14 months to coincide with that.

  3. While it may not be the case for everyone I think in part is that you are not giving the person agency to make their own decisions and instead they feel like you are making that choice/decision for them instead.

  4. Only speaking for myself as a guy and you would know him more than we would but I think a custom plushie would be really thoughtful and cute. It could go on his desk or a shelf or be put somewhere so when he sees it it reminds him of you or holds some sentimental value. Not every guy may like plushies so maybe worth hinting at by showing him something else and be like "do you like this?" to at least gauge interest in the idea.

  5. When you used it without a SIM did you also get 5G signal on an eSIM? Within your Settings - Cellular - Cellular data options if you set the phone to only LTE and put the SIM card in do you feel it heat up still? Though if you ran 5G on/auto with no SIM then that would not be the issue.

  6. I don’t use e sim and there’s no 5G in my country. It was the first time I put any sim in the phone since I bought it.

  7. Huh not sure then. 5G modems can run the phone hotter when it's being used compared to LTE but if you dont have those signals in your country then just putting a SIM card in and having it run hot seems odd. Not sure if you could setup the eSIM on your phone instead of the physical SIM and see if that runs it cooler.

  8. We do if you follow a normal vaccine regiment. With a lot of anti-vax sentiment gaining steam the past decade those rates may have gone down. But since the vaccine was released in 2006 most teens are getting it and those rates for passing it on are dropping every year. In 2014 a newer version of the HPV vaccine was approved and so woman even up to 45 and men up top 25 years of age can get it though how effective it is may vary.

  9. The silicone cases peels all the time and have for years. Apple won’t do anything about it especially if it has been a year. I was lucky enough to have them replace a case once before but I had dropped it in the parking lot like a few days after getting it. So you could ask but the answer would be a no more than likely.

  10. Warby Parker has a pretty good try on using the front facing camera with the dot projection. I don’t think they utilize the back camera or LiDar though. If I remember right the phone LiDAR can be off as much as an inch when measuring so it would not be too helpful in figuring out size of glassss for spacing on your face.

  11. Their noise canceling headphones I see around often be it at the gym or on planes. I have a pair the XM3s that have lasted some years at this point.

  12. Because the sensor has a minimum focal distance, when you reach that the only way to get closer to an object is to use the Ultra Wide lens which also doubles as a Macro lens (flower icon). Usually the UW is not as good quality as the main Wide sensor.

  13. It is a real pain in apps that don’t allow you to change the camera. Shopping apps that can scan barcodes don’t always work since it can’t read it when held at the focal distance length. Of course this is an app/API issue but still it gets frustrating.

  14. Work in the property management industry. Your milage will vary and it really depends on who your property manager is. If it's a bigger company? Good luck negotiating. A lot of the time they want to jack that rate up to 'market rate' even if your unit is smaller than others in that same community. The company I work for would rather have you transfer (though that can have fees/other chargers associated with it) or want you to pay the higher price or leave.

  15. It's a Gen-Z thing mainly but no different than having say a Twitch stream or podcast or YT video or live TV playing while you work and you listen. Some people can concentrate better when there is a visual distraction but they are listening to what is going on and/or the attention spans are so short its hard to sit and watch someone for a long period of time. Look at how some movies/TV/YT videos are edited these days to have a lot of jump cuts only after a few seconds. Its been a trend for a long time and so is now on TikTok as well.

  16. Those types of websites are still out there but due to consolidation and how the major websites work (using advertisers to support their costs) you won't find that kind of 'Wild West' on big popular sites or apps anymore.

  17. My wife is the big fan in our family. And she was definitely dialed down a notch compared to last week which itself was several notches below Ohio state

  18. Cortisol levels felt lower for sure compared to The Game and also compared to Bama and Penn State. Knowing the Michigan formula of striking fast, getting some points and then the offense sputtering going 3 and out while the defense dominates for the rest of the game.

  19. You will need to take most of those items out and place them in a bin for scanning. Anything bigger than a cell phone comes out of the bag if it's in your carry-on, so TSA and other people would see the xbox, hitachi and switch. Also anything liquid wise needs to be smaller than 3oz otherwise they are getting tossed at TSA. You are allowed normally on the bigger airlines, a carry on roller bag and a bag that fits under the seat (most backpacks will fit under the seat). Depending on the airline though like Spirit or Frontier, they will charge you for a carry on. Your vape will need to be on your carry-on but that should be a non-issue assuming you can detach the battery from the device.

  20. If I were to say go buy a gift card at target. And didn't need to provide a receipt, would they be able to see what exactly I purchased? Or would it just say target and the amount.

  21. I am not 100% sure what Target would show as transaction wise but if it is anything like Amazon they would not see the details at least on the statement.

  22. I’ve watched a few code blue cam videos on YouTube, without fail the ones in Ohio are the worst stops, most chaotic and almost always escalated unnecessarily.

  23. Ohio State Trooper dash and body cams are almost always the worst quality, fuzzy audio you have ever seen posted as well.

  24. If you read the questions for citizenship test (they normally pick from a list of like 100) they are really not that hard and are all things you would have learned in school civics class during your school years. Do most people remember all of the details or who certain presidents were? Probably not. They are all basic information on how our government is ran and a bit on the history about it that shows you are at least familiar with the history and how the country operates.

  25. My opinion is that if they haven’t allowed this by now, they’re never going to.

  26. Just like touchscreen Macs, they have tested them for years in their lab but it's never going to happen.

  27. I go without theft and loss. I am not in an area that has a higher chance of my phone being stolen and it is always on me regardless. Plus with the find my network most of the time if it is 'lost' it is somewhere in a location that I left it but that is work and home. Ive never had a phone swiped out of my hands nor have had it lost say on public transport or anything.

  28. I’m actually surprised by this. Everyone I know hates the new vintage style plate.

  29. I see so many of them around, personally I don't really like the 'Water, winter, wonderland' part but the rest being UofM Maize and Blue colors are really nice. So if they made that plate without the text at the bottom I would have it forever.

  30. And that 3.50 will be in 36 month payments as monthly bill credits.

  31. Because that always goes so well..

  32. Cashapp along with other websites are having some issues at the moment. Normally this is because of an AWS server issue somewhere but it depends on what hosting provider they use. Downdetector is showing a spike along with Reddit and others.
